During Lunch time, I was at Clementi West Hawker Centre and undecided what to eat. I saw there was a long queue at this Hainanese Curry Rice and decided to join in the queue. The queue was fast as there was one staff taking order and other staff scoooping the dishes. There was only a few dishes to choose from aside from the deep fried pork chop. I had choose fried egg, fried long bean and fried pork chop. The cost was cheap, only $3.The curry gravy on top of the rice was different than I thought.

The curry gravy on top of the rice was different than I thought. The curry did not taste like the curry chicken type, it was more savory and tasted like braised sauce.

The deep fried pork chop was disappointing. There was little meat under the battered skin. The pork meat was also dry like a flatten deep fried burger patty.

Overall, the prices was low but the taste was not great, I wonder why there was such a long queue.

I got a packet of curry rice at around 11am in the morning and there was no queue. I ordered pork chop, braised cabbage and egg plant together with the rice for $3.50. The rice was drizzled with lots of curry but the quality of rice is not that good as there were lumps of rice sticking together. The curry sauce was appropriately spicy and good. The egg plants were too soft and mushy to my liking while the cabbage was too clumpy. This is worth a try

The queue of Ji Xing Hainanese Curry Rice is going strong and steady at lunch time ever since its opening half year back. Having known of their giant portion, I requested for lesser rice and went ahead to order. 3 in a team, with one scooping the rice, one picking the dish and the other collecting payment. Out of them 3, the busiest seen was the one in the stall scooping customer's selected dishes and in between mixing the selected dishes with another layer of curry before placing them on the plate. However, service was quite fast with such collaboration.

The braised cabbages were very soft and moist as well as the bitter-gourd. Breaded porkchop was one of my favourites too! It was fried to a cripsy golden brown perfection and was cut into smaller equal pieces. Some may find the dish was quite spicy with such generous amount of curry gravy but to me it fits the bill as I prefer the "wet" look on my food rather than having the dry version.

Their Asam Fish and Samal Squid is the hot selling item. The meal might just cost up to as much as $5 if such items were to ordered, take note.
Cost: S$3.50

The portion of food they had given werent that much. I have only half of the sotong. There is no asam taste from the sotong. Some good points about it is that the rice is soft and very wet with gravy. Why very wet? The stall helpers will place whatever you ordered in a small plate first then covered them with adequate amount of gravy and then placed on top of the fragrance rice. After which, they will top up the gravy on the rice again. This makes the whole plates looks more like hainanese curry rice.

This is another dish bought at $3 consists of pork chop, toufu and vegetables. Even though the portion is smaller as compared to Feng Kee (located in pasir panjang), I will say that the gravy is generously served had brought them the queues.

Service
Service is fast! Very prompt. Waiting time not that long even though there is long queue.

Ambience
The hawker centre ambience during lunch hours is like market place, always.

Price
Price is ok. Similar to those economic rice pricing. Males who are eating can ask for more rice.

Recommendations / Tips
Order their pork chop, its cripsy!
