Wanted something simple for lunch and prata came to my mind when i saw Haji Karim! Sat down and ordered two pieces of prata ( 1 plain & 1 egg ) + teh tarik. Spent $3.30 for my lunch.Verdict : not nice! Ok, it's decent but i rather spent the money on something else. Prata was cold, teh terik was lukewarm but still acceptable. Curry too watery. Guess i won't come back again for prata continue reading

I suddenly had craving for prata and easiest place is Haji Karim, which is so near to my place, 2 mins walk probably and they open 24 hours so I can come at anytime. I got the prata and teh tarik of course, but I cannot stop myself of getting the ayam goreng(fried chicken) too. Teh tarik as usual, nice but a bit sweet for me. However, every time if I dine in, I still have it as my default drink. Prata tasted average, the fried chicken tasted quite nice but too salty. This means they marinated well. One dish I would like yo recommend is their Kway Teow Goreng in red, tasted so good to me. I tried bee hun version but still prefer kway teow. If I am coming to pack for my dinner, that is always my 1st choice. One thing they need to take note is the cleanliness as I find some plates and cups were not cleaned well, you can still see the dirt inside, especially when I finished my drink, I found some lime seeds residue. For full review and more photos, please visithttp://rainfooddiary.blogspot.sg/2012/08/haji-karim-coffee-house.html continue reading
