I think this place is overhyped. If you would like to visit this place, especially on a weekend, do make reservations in advance because seats are limited. For over $30++ per person for Japanese buffet dinner, you would expect a large variety of good quality food, but the menu is rather limited and and I don't really think it's value for money. The sushi and sashimi selections were generally fresh and good. The sushi and sashimi selections were generally fresh and good. We had salmon and tuna and they were served in fresh thick slices. But the other items on the menu were pretty limited and average tasting, like their barbecue items and noodle selection (udon, soba). Perhaps you can find better value for money japanese buffet elsewhere.

Went for a family gathering some time back at Hanabi! The buffet was ordered from an ala carte menu and they had this really long table for big groups like us. Service was acceptable as they refilled our tea promptly but I felt that the food was over rated. Some of the nice dishes were their hand-rolls and sashimi. I thought their barbecued chicken wings were not too bad but the rest of the street snacks were pretty average. My relatives enjoyed the teppanyaki pork as well as the salmon teriyak

Its a great place to organize huge gatherings as the ambiance is rather cozy. At about $33++ per head, I guess its a reasonable price to pay.
