Went to Clementi Food Centre in an early Sunday morning.I expected queue at popular food stall and this Hainanese chicken rice has one of the longest queue in the food centre. Joined the queue and bought the Steamed Chicken Rice($3).The presentation of the chicken rice is modern using black plate and they separated the chicken slices with the rice which I think is good as the soy sauce from the chicken will not soak the rice.The steamed chicken is really good as it is tender and juicy.The soup is another plus point as it got a peanut in it and it is tasty(does not feel like MSG loaded). However, I find that the rice does not have a strong fragrant and flavor.

If we drive we packed 20-40packets. since not expensive and really worth it. **Compare to hotel or restaurant**Heard some people purposely packed and bring it back to JB. For special order advance needs more than 20packets - usually can call them and pay deposit early or 1day before too .. The queue for this stall chicken rice was really long so my girlfriend and I assume that the food is really good and worth queuing. After queuing for a good 15 mins, we finally got to order. We ordered their roasted chicken and char siew for two people. The portion was not really a lot. we were rather disappointed that the chicken was rather cold and the meat was a little hard. They gave us a large bowl of carrot raddish soup, it was luke warm but looked rather appetizing. However to our disappointment, the soup tasted rather bland and did not really have much sweetness. The only nice thing was the rice, it was fragrant and not too oily. Kind of disappointed to queue so long for such food.

This Hainanese Chicken Rice stall is having such a long queue that I can't wait to try it. They also have another stall selling Satay Bee Hoon which is the only stall in the market and is rather popular too. I get to know that they are very IT savvy in advertising their food. They even have a FaceBook page with over 170 + friends and a blog too. No wonder I see a lot of youngsters in the queue. What I liked most of their chicken rice is their tender chicken meat and also soup. The soup is cooked with peanuts and meat and has a nice flavour. I notice that they added two different kind of special sauce to their chicken drumbstick. That's why it's so nice. Will eat again.
