I did a review previously on this eatery. Unfortunately, my visit this time round brought much distraught. I opted for the vegetarian biryani (take away). To my dismay, there was hardly a selection of dishes. The portion of rice was pretty pathetic as well. The staff gave me two vegetable dishes of my choice (nothing extraordinary), dahl curry as well as indian crackers, better known as papadum (1 piece). I think paying $7.50 was a huge rip off since there was nothing spectacular about the meal.

I think paying $7.50 was a huge rip off since there was nothing spectacular about the meal. They seemed to stinge on the portion of food and side dishes as well which did not leave a good impression. Apart from that, their take away plastic containers were just about identical to their normal stainless steal ones where by the divisions for sides was extremely small. Due to the flatness of the containers, not much food could go in due to very little depth. Even their naan set's were overpriced and were around the same range as their biryani sets which baffled me.

Overall, I doubt I would return, unless of course I was hungry and desperate enough to pay such a steep amount to dine at the food court with a small portion of food.

I bet there are better eateries that would justify one's pocket.

Conclusion: Not worth it. 6/10

This stall was located at The Gallerie @ Marina Square or Marina Food Loft. The store catered north indian food such as prata, naan's and biryani rice. The naan's were made to order which ensured quality.I chose to have the vegetarian biryani set. This entitled me to biryani rice, two side dishes, an indian rice cracker (papadum), dahl curry and rasam (indian spicy soup). The rice was fragrant and definitely got me excited. The portion was neither too big nor too small. The rice was served warm.

The rice was fragrant and definitely got me excited. The portion was neither too big nor too small. The rice was served warm. I picked a vegetable dish as a side which consisted of peas and carrots with gravy. It tasted really good!

My other side was Aloo Gobi which was basically a dish comprised of curried potatoes and cauliflower. The dish was well cooked and was well marinated.

The indian cracker was crispy and not soggy like most places as it was kept warm in a heater. The dahl was not too spicy and tasted good. However, I found the rasam (Indian spicy soup) to be way too salty!

Other then that, it was an awesome meal with a spectacular view!

I paid about $7.50
