I was expecting real good Korean food initially since it is run by Koreans, at least as good as the previous Korean restaurant owner. Firstly, I was surprised how limited the menu choices were. All the dishes are meant for sharing except for two noodles dishes. Price was not cheap so I actually expected it to be even better quality.

I can only say I was utterly disappointed. Ordered the KimChi Stew ($35). I was shocked that the meat used were hotdogs while the noodles was just Maggie instant noodles. Soup taste was alright but it is ridiculous to pay that much for these kind of soup ingredients.

There were only four side dishes. Staffing was limited so it took quite some while to get them replenished.

I would definitely not step into this place again
I can get much better Korean food with the same amount of money spent.

Had a craving for Korean food perhaps due to all the Korean drama watching hehe. So I went to this restaurant which a friend had previously gone to and recommended to me. I love bibimbap as I think it is so healthy. So of course I ordered it when I got there. It had to be one of the best I've tried, with the proportions just nice. There was egg, cucumber, bean sprouts, mushrooms, shreds of chicken and of course your usual kimchi sauce.

My favourite Korean food is none other than their famous Bibimbap. It consists of various different types of ingredients such as vegetables and meat. Most importantly is their Korean sauce that makes this dish unique. Before you start to eat it, you will have to mix everything well together with the sauce and makes sure that it incorporates well. The sunny side up at the center adds a fresh taste to the whole dish. It is a worth try and I am sure all Korean food lovers will like it.

I went for lunch at Kim’s family Korean restaurant since I had a very good impression of the taste of the food the last time I was here. I particularly like the pancake as it is fried until crisp and it is very tasty and also the heap of this chillied cabbage. I haven’t tried cold noodles before so not much comme

I particularly like the pancake as it is fried until crisp and it is very tasty and also the heap of this chillied cabbage. I haven’t tried cold noodles before so not much comments on that, but my sister who has tried it at other Korean restaurants thought it was pretty nice. I love the spicy Korean rice cake since it is chewy and just very slightly spicy, so non-chilli eaters can definitely enjoy this dish without fears.

Not long ago, I went to Kim's Family Restaurant for lunch with my BFF. The service staff is very friendly even though we asked for refills of the side dishes several times, which made us feel very comfortable and at home dining there. Of course, we also ordered their mains like the ginseng chicken soup. It is very very comforting drinking hot nourishing soup on a rainy day. We finished every bit of the soup (even though my BFF detest ginseng, but she gave in to it as well because it is really a very comforting soup). We also ordered the rice cakes. I love the spicy chewy texture of the rice cakes. It isn't that spicy, so it is suitable for people who cannot take much spice as well. The last one that we ordered was the bibimbap. It is hard to go wrong with this choice. Overall, we had a very great meal over there and I would definitely come back for more.

The bargain-hunters and I stopped by Kim's Family Restaurant to check out its lunch sets one day. For $9.90+, you get a spread of banchan, a choice between beef, chicken and pork bulgogi and a bowl of rice! Both the beef and pork bulgogi were well-marinated and tender, and came in generous portions to boot. I prefer the former though! One grouse I had about the food on both my visits, though, was that the bulgogi and rice were lukewarm. Nevertheless, I wouldn't mind returning for its value-for-money lunch deals!

I normally went to the main branch at Lorong Kilat. But now probably I would prefer to go for this Clementi one partly because it is less crowded. It is located at Sunset Way, along the stretch of restaurant , just beside Fortune Cuisine ( steamboat buffet ). The main attraction of Kim's Family food, besides their authentic Korean dishes and waiters (Most of the staffs are actually from Korea), is their refillable appetizers. What's more, it is really a wide range of appetizer, we got at least 10 different side dishes. Nice right?? But normally you will feel too full to refill after 2 rounds as their main dish is quite a big portion too.

Alright, we ordered a set meal that comes with a BBQ pork and soya bean soup stew. Heard they are famous for their soya bean stew, so how could we miss it? Well, the BBQ pork was grilled quite well, tendered and the BBQ sauce is nice. Not bad a try! For their soya bean stew, to me, the taste is average. Not that special and tasty to me... their BBQ meat perhaps is the main attraction dish.

Ordered another spicy kimchi ramen which turns out to be the 'expensive ' version of Xin La Mian. The instant noodles sold in market. Abit disappointed for this. I'm almost wanted to ask them are they using the instant mee packet and just add in some seafood.. that sell at $15 per bowl... Saddd...

Anyway, their BBQ and stew are still tasty... with their REFILLABLE appetizer. Although the spicy kimchi ramen was a big hiccup, the overall dining experience was still a nice one!
