I commonly eat out during weekends for dinner and I settled on having my dinner here. This zi char stall caught my eye as the tables around me are all having their food from this stall. I decided on ordering their stir fried hor fun which costs $4 per plate for the small serving. If you have a larger group, you can order the medium or large serving for sharing. What I love about the hor fun here is how easily it glides down your throat as the hor fun is not clumpy. As for the taste, it is really good, not too salty. The ingredients given are also fresh and quite substantial. There are two prawns and slices of fishcake, meat and sotong. They are not stingy with the vegetables as well. It is an enjoyable meal and I would be back to try out their other dishes the next time I am there. continue reading

went down to eat the zhi char with my parents for dinner, wanted to eat at another store but it was closed for renovation so we decided to give ming kitchen a try.the first impression was not that good already because the dishes from the menu were not exactly to our liking but we just ordered fried omelette, stir fry kai lan and claypot chicken to settle our meal. although we did not order anything spicy, somehow all the food turn out to be spicy and salty. we totally did not enjoy the food and will not patron again continue reading

This Ming’s Kitchen is located next to the Singapore Pool near the 24 hours NTUC in Clementi. It’s inside the coffee shop called Varinice. This coffee shop is crowded with people when dinner time. They are selling zhi char kind of food including Chili Crab, BBQ Stingray, and so on. I’ve tried the Chili Crab before, it’s not bad. Usually, they are selling the crab at $3.50 per 100gram. I personally like their Hotplate Tofu. It’s a bit different from what I have in other food stall. The gravy is not watery and they add minced pork to cook together which it's give the sauce a good taste. You can find bean, carrot, button mushroom, shitake, prawn, egg and egg tofu on the plate. Previously they selling it at $8 but now they rose up the price to $9 maybe it’s too popular? Overall the food there is quite nice, except the Stingray. It’s doesn’t look like being BBQ. The Stingray is over soft like being steamed. The Stingray sauce is watery. continue reading
