Polar started out as a cafe in 1926 at High Street, but later shifted to a takeaway outlet in 1986 to make way for the Parliament House. Over the years, it has expanded with outlets in local and overseas, selling various puffs and cakes. Chocolate mouse cake ($1.80)One of the sliced cake sold over the display counter is this cute little chocolate mouse cake. It is actually a chocolate cake, topped with a mouse made of cream. It tastes a bit too creamy due to the mouse on top. Overall it tastes not bad.

I got this cute little piece of cake from a good friend for my birthday. It was a piece of chocolate sponge cake that have got chocolate cream sandwiched in between the chocolate sponge cake. The sponge cake was soft and fluffy with nice chocolatey taste. The cream tasted not too sweet. I liked the cartoon picture printed on the cake. It was a delight to enjoy such a piece of cake with a good friend.

Polar has been one of the famous cakes and pastries shop. Therefore, this time round i bought this strawberry swiss roll for my friend's birthday. Although is just a small swiss roll but my intention was to let my friend is to try out how tasty polar cakes are She always find that polar cakes ad pastries would be expensive and did not dare to give it a try. She would just look at the cake and show me a disappointed look. Hence, i decided to purchase this polar cake for her. The staff was very friendly and approachable. I told her i was buying this swiss roll for my friend's birthday, she immediately went to get a box and place a candle on top of the box. She told me that, celebration of birthday must go with the blowing of candle. I was so thankful that the staff was so thoughtful and efficient. I would definitely be back to show my support again !

I always attracted by the cake.Cakes are so attractive.This time,i decided to buy pandan chiffon cake.Sg's chiffon cake is really famous,so i mut have a try.Although $8.8 is quite expensive,i still buy it.It is very soft,like sponge.But is a bit sweet for me.I still like it,i like the smell of the coconut milk and the panda flavoring.The appearance is also looks very beautiful.

These sugar swiss roll cakes are one of the best selling items here. The sponge is soft and some icing sugar are spread on the top of it. Would be better if the cake can be little bit moist and the fresh cream that are spread in between can be more. Price is reasonable and are great for gatherings, parties and use as gifts during special occasions. These swiss roll cakes also available in different favourite that suit your taste. Not too bad. My verdict: 6.5/10
