Being the only stall at night at this HDB Coffeeshop, the place is usually patronised by the residents in this cluster of flats. Recently there seems to be a change in chef helming the kitchen. My visit last night confirmed it. Ordered claypot hor fun for $5 and was delighted with the new ingredients offered. Broccoli! That’s nice, something you see often for claypot noodles option. And it’s not the case of just broccoli, you still get your cabbage and carrots. The gravy given was a lot more now

Overall, I was very satisfied with the order tonight, hopefully they will maintain this standard. One suggestion I would give is, to add in roasted meat 烧肉 to it and, of course, more yam as well

This is one of 2 ci char stalls within the cluster of flats and its the preferred one both in terms of quality and environment. Situated below those 4 storey hdb flats, it dishes out local ci char dishes to neighboring residents around the place. Its the only operating tenant in the coffeeshop other than the drinks stall, all owned by the same owner. Like i mentioned in my title, you love and hate them, on one hand the food is good, on ht other you will be disappointed to know the kind of effort

Ordered the pai gu wang (pork ribs) rice and i was surprised it came with the pork ribs and plain rice and nothing else, no garnish, no sesame seed, no lettuce, nothing. But again the taste leaves you happy, the pork ribs were just deep fried and not prepared. But you just can't help but to shake your head when you see such a standard in the dish presentation. My dinner cost $5.

Its not often you can find meals at $2.50 nowadays. I was lucky to have such a stall near my house. No signage to the noodle stall which only operates in the morning till noon time. At night the stall is operated by the zi char owners. On the menu is quite a few options: prawn noodles, lor mee, laksa, fried kway teow. FKT is also dependent on how busy auntie is as it has to be prepared separately using the frying work. Auntie is also nice and flexible about your soup request, you can hv fish bal

FKT is also dependent on how busy auntie is as it has to be prepared separately using the frying work. Auntie is also nice and flexible about your soup request, you can hv fish ball noodle but with the dark prawn soup and vice versa. My usual order is the mee pok dry with additional ingredients, which just cost me a dollar more. Though the prawns are alwasy sliced into half each, i would still say this average fare delights as a nice breakfast though not the best.
