Decorated somewhat colourfully and uniquely, this box contains 2 lemon and lime cake and 1 blueberry with chocolate sprinkles cake. The cream is buttery and fresh, topped with the lemony and lime flavoured jams, give the sponge cake a delightful taste especially for kids. The sponge is split into 2 layers, with a thin orange-flavoured coating and some chocolate dust. The sponge itself is moist and not overly sweet, making it complementary to the topping and filling The chocolate one is slightly disappointing for the looks, but the taste is pretty much similar to the lemon-lime cake. My mother asked me to buy back some otah from the shenton bakery at limbang. Who would have thought a bakery would also sell otah. But as I was approaching the shopping, I could smell this burnt banana leaf fragrance. I went there and ordered ten sticks of otah. Their otah is grilled on the spot, so it is very fresh. It is not too spicy too, my sister dun really take spicy food and she found it ok for her. You can taste the freshness of the fish that they used to make the otah. It is very sweetish and spicy. The otah is very smooth too, you can tell they put in a lot of effort to make the fish paste and most importantly when they spread the fish paste on the banana leaf, it was quite a generous portion. The otah here is very cheap as well, five sticks for only $2.

I accompanied my mother in law to limbang to buy some groceries. After all the shopping and the extremely long queue, we were incredibly hungry. So we headed to shenton bakery to buy some waffles. My mother in law said the waffles here are really nice. And it was, the waffles was crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside. I opted for peanut butter flavour and it was good! The peanut butter was not too gooey that it sticks to your teeth. It is not too thick as well. the peanut butter goes really well with the waffles cos it is not too sweet. The waffles itself was very fragrant too.

I was on my way to Limbang Park when I entered Limbang Shopping Centre to buy groceries from NTUC. After my shopping was over I decided to look around the place, when I happened to come across this Cake Shop and my eyes fell on this lovely cake. My son was after me to buy a Chocolate Cake with cartoon characters on it for his 3rd Birthday and to my good luck this was exactly what it was. A nice chocolate cake with some nice dolls and flowers. Picked it up and took it home and the boys were really happy to see the cake and of course the taste was good and sponge was nice and soft.

My friend treated me to some delicious American carrot cakes from her house nearby bakery. I was quite stunned to learn that the cakes were from a neighbourhood bakery cos they taste simply hotel standard. The carrot cake was very light and fluffy. There were carrot strips and mixed nuts in the centre. The cake itself was very moist even after keeping it in the fridge. They topped the carrot cake with cheese cream. The cheese cream was sweetish but not too sweet. it added a little extra flavouring to the cake. It was totally delicious! and it only cost $0.80 a slice!!!
