After shopping at City Square on Sunday evening with my girlfriend, I suggested to have Mookata - Traditional Thai BBQ Buffet Steamboat at this restaurant and she agreed to it after looking at the menu. After eating, I told her that so far have not seen Thai Charcoal steamboat buffet style in Singapore because we have not really searched from Facebook. continue reading

Siam Kitchen is one of the first restaurants you'll see when approaching City Square from Farrer Park MRT Station. Conveniently located for a quick bite before the movie. Opted for the green curry $9.90++ which came with rice. The portion of the curry was small but it was concentrated & flavourful, with many chunks of lean chicken & eggplant, plus a handful of basil leaves to lend fragrance to the dish. Friendly staff ( topped up customers' glasses of iced water without being asked ) and speedy service too. Thumbs up. continue reading

Normally those buffet I went is self service with wide choice of dishes / order from menu and they will serve you whatever you want. This one is a little different , since their menu is average of variety , they will served everything from the MENU at one go. ( you can opt away food you don't want ) . This is my first visit there and definately will go back for more! Price is very affordable for buffet at $18.80+ per adult . I always drink bundung during meals thus you can say I tried before a lot place of bundung . This one is the nicest bundung i ever had! very different from outside place .. the taste is thick . and their pineapple rice is a must have ! whenever i eat buffet i tend to avoid rice as it can makes me full easier but this pineapple rice just made me take one bowl and more ! can't wait for my second visit there ! continue reading

I'm not sure why this drink is not listed as one of the signature drinks in the menu but it sure caught my attention when I was selecting my drink. And i was not disappointed at all. The combination of red bean with the milk base made this a smooth beverage with a hint of sweetness from the red bean. This is definitely great to go along with the spicy food served continue reading

I'm really a fan of thai food, especially dishes like tom yam and green curry. I like spice too. Once again, I had my dinner at Siam Kitchen and without looking at the menu, I had decided to get the chicken green curry that would come with white rice. Siam Kitchen is also a chain thai restaurant and its strong opponent would of course be Thai Express. The only difference is that Thai Express has more outlets but Siam Kitchen provides complimentary crackers to start of your meal. The green curry was good, creamy and bursting with flavor, not too salty nor sweet. Chicken meat were lean too which I like, but the portion of chicken wasn't too generous. continue reading
