This is the Special Thai Deep-fried Otah ($7.90 for 7 pieces). I did not like this dish. I found it to be too sweet especially since it was coated with coconut milk (the white part). The otah was also quite watery and not firm enough for my liking. Apparently it has a thumbs up sign next to its name and is recommended on the menu but I do not recommend this. This is the Pineapple Fried Rice with Seafood ($9.90). It has a few pieces of squid and 2-3 pieces of prawns. It does not come with chili flakes but I find that it is delicious with chili flakes. The squid was chewy and did not really have a fishy taste to it. Nice!I like Siam Kitchen for its good food at affordable prices. continue reading

i simply adore the tom yum glass noodle with seafood from siam kitchen. My girlfriend and I would pop by their branch to order this dish. It is a spicy. The seafood in the soup is very fresh, it is cooked perfectly as well. The soup is the dark side, not really the clear soup. the glass noodles does not absorb the soup like certain kind of bee hoon. It is very light and smooth and simply slides down your throat. continue reading

Thai dessert always use coconut as one of the must ingredient. Of course this chendol can't be the exception.Very rich chendol with generous portion of red bean on top. very colourful dessert with red, green, brown and white colours. This dessert is sweet as they use brown sugar instead of normal sugar. The only thing that i don't like is too much of ice. Overall still very good. continue reading

I was accompanying a friend for dinner and decided to try one of its signature drinks as I was rather full. The mango iced frost seemed refreshing, especially I was feeling rather thirsty then and it was one of the signature drinks. Well, I was rather disappointed as it tasted like normal ice blend - definitely not worth the amount spent. continue reading

This is my first visit to Siam kitchen and i am very satisfied with their food and service provided. Before they serve you your food, they will serve you a big tray of fried prawn crackers, it is only at $1 per tray, you can opt not to have it and they will take it away. But i would say it is value for me as the portion given is big for just $1, and the cracker is very nice, there is no tad of oiliness at all.I also ordered their mushroom stirfry with pork slice. It is an aromatic dish, the meat slices are tender and nicely flavoured with sesame oil and oyster sauce.I did not order tom yam soup as i was having sorethroat that day but i would sure come back again to give it a try next time round. continue reading
