The Uncle from this drink stall can be quite persistent. He came by when i was browsing through the menu and i asked him to come by later. He came back in a while and asked again. I said i will go to your stall to order later. He came by again in a bit later. In appreciation of his persistence, i decided to order a glass of sugar cane juice. It was served it by the same Uncle in less than 5 minutes. The sugar cane juice is served in an average size glass with quite a bit of ice cubes added for $1.50. First sip. The taste was quite diluted and it did not taste sweet enough as well. I would very much prefer the lime juice that i ordered from the other stall. continue reading

The coffee here is strong, their normal coffee is equivalent that of others kopi kao. I like mine kao kao. Their home made barley is nice too, quite concentrated and full of flavour. Their sugar cane juice is purely sugar cane juice without addition of sugary water, etc. Sometimes the queue can get very long especially over the weekends. They are open daily from 5.30 am to 10pm. continue reading

It seems this coffee stall is quite popular as patrons are non-stop coming during our meal time. They sell freshly squeeze sugar cane too. The way they toss the hot tea as long as their arm’s length 2-3 times, in order to make the tea cooled down, it is like Indian makes teh tarik. So much hope on this humble cup of ice tea, sadly to say it is too light to taste, if it could be stronger, it could be really good! continue reading
