My favourite food in Thai Express is their tom yum tang hoon soup and phat thai. Today I decide to order their clayfish tom yum tang hoon soup. For their tang hoon soup, they have 2 types, the clear soup base and this orange colour soup base. I prefer this over the clear soup. The tom yum here is spicy and yet sour. For a fans of hot and sour, I like tom yum a lot.Apart from having food for adults, they do have some food items for kids. My kid love their prawn omelette here. The egg is fried till nice not oily. I reckon they added fish sauce to their omelette coz there is a strong taste of fish sauce that enhance this egg dish and the prawns they use are fresh too. continue reading

http://static4.sg.orstatic.com/UserPhoto/photopending/0/F2/002Z5TBCD2F12A6B34B034c.jpgThis is a classic dish, and even the one I had in Bangkok couldn't compare to this one. I believe it is a fusion of Asian and Thai which made it so yummy. This spicy glass noodles is my regular dish at Thai Express, and as tempted as I am to try other dishes, I always return to this one again. Despite its insane spicyness level, I love it. I have to eat this with at least 3 glasses of iced water, and still experience the burning aftertaste in my mouth. I have ordered this dish at least 15 times over the past 7 years, and it still remains my personal favourite. It is coated in a sweet sauce, tossed in chili padi and other spices. Served with sliced vegetables and chicken, I would consider this to be a pretty healthy dish. Oh, and don't leave out the peanuts, which goes really well with the sauce. Leave the chili flakes out if the noodles itself is too spicy, otherwise, it is difficult to appreciate the flavour of this dish altogether. A definite must for chili lovers out there! continue reading

$8.90 excluding service charge and GST.Sa-Nook SetRated: 8/10This set meal consists of:1. Red Tom Yum Fish Soup2. Green Curry Chicken Ball + Rice3. Fragrant Coconut Milk Sago with Thai Red Atap SeedThe cost of this set is lower than almost everything from the ala carte menu. (i.e THE PHAD THAI on the left) The Red Tom Yum Fish Soup was average-ly spicy. Great for beginners hahaha! The green curry chicken ball was very unique. First time trying it out. And I really enjoyed eating it!!!The dessert was refreshing. But felt guilty after eating it because I'm on diet. However, my boyfriend loves it!!Top right:Avocado Milk Shake for less than 6 dollars.Rated: 9/10Super awesome drink! Love it very much! Can taste lots of milk and 'gula Melaka'. I simply love the clear tom yum soup from thai express, it was mind blowing or rather nose blowing. I was having some block nose that day, no matter how hard I blew, it just would not clear. I happened to meet my girlfriend for dinner at thai express and she ordered the clear tom yum soup. It looked very clear and innocent. When I took a mouth of it, it was so sour and spicy. The spiciness travelled through my mouth to my nose and cleared it. I drank a few more mouth and my block nose was cleared. The soup although spicy was very delicious, they had all the fresh seafood ingredients inside. The prawns were crunchy. The mushrooms tasted nice. A nice dish! continue reading
