Walk around Marina square and decide to have our dinner at Café Cartel.I ordered a soup of the day and today soup of the day is chicken soup, the soup is thick with tiny chucks of chicken meat in it, quite nice, just that I find it a little salty but still its nice. The garlic bread is nice and goes well with the soup. Its roasted till crispy with light garlic taste.Spicy Seafood Pasta, the pasta is in Arrabiatta sauce with fresh seafood such as shrimps, squids. The sauce is not too spicy and quite nice. Goes well with the ingredients.Lasagna, I love this dish, the lasagna is nice with layers of pasta crammed with chicken and a thick layer of mozzarella cheese. The sauce is nice and with the mozzarella cheese, the whole dish is superb.. nice.. continue reading

Went to cafe cartel after dinner as i remember they have 50% promotion after 9pm. Was craving for some ice cream and we ordered "Lovers Fantasy", which consists of strawberry and vanilla ice cream, strawberries, peach and kiwi. The dish is pretty decent as everything taste alright except the kiwi which is really hard and sourMy verdict : I will be back for supper next time to try out other snacks and desserts since they are all half priced after 9pm. continue reading

I bought a groupon promotion for pork rib set at Café Cartel Marina Square , here it is spacious and plenty of seats. We ordered St Louis Pork Ribs, Sundaes, Soup of the day Succulent and soft pork rib coated in their special st louis saucesPortion of fries and coleslaw is kind of little (i think maybe its because i use voucher)Corn cream soup and sundaes were alright. Average. This was more of a meal of quantity than quality. You get what you pay for. continue reading

Cafe Cartel in Marina Square is located at a section in the shopping mall which is away from the hustle and bustle of the shoppers looking for good deals. Had lunch there with my friend and we had a good chat. Served mushroom soup and bread with ice-lemon tea while we wait for our main course. As it is a set lunch offered by cafe cartel, everyday there is a fixed menu. On that day, we had chicken sandwich with potato wedges. Rather full after the meal. With the environment and food, it is considered a reasonable price to attract lunch goers working in the vicinity to have lunch at Cafe Cartel. continue reading

FoodSt Louis Pork Ribs - $15.60If you have not tried its ribs, that means you have not visit cafe cartel.Famous for its Ribs, this is a must try!Tendered ribs with homemade BBQ sauce, you will be amazed that cutting the ribs is a breeze. It's not as hard as I have imagined. It's served with coleslaw and fries. There are 3 sauces for selection, black pepper, rodeo and honey glaze.Pan Fried Macaroni - $14.80 A plate filled with well fried macaroni with chicken and mushroom in secret recipe sambal sauce. not too oily and soggy. However it tastes a bit salty. Overall, still ok with me if i have a glass of water to go along with this dish.ServiceService is quite poor, it takes quite sometimes for the waitress to approach us to take down our orders.AmbienceFurnitures are old. "Sinking" sofa seat, some are torn. Require replacement.PricePrice is pretty standard dining in places like this.Recommendation / Tips(1) Do check out their app on your smart phone and get some perks. continue reading
