Total cost: $4.20. The standard of the curry rice doesn't seem to be on par as the original one but it is still worth a try. The pork chop still manages to retain its crispiness (the skin) despite it being drenched in curry sauce and the meat isn't tough. The curry cabbage and beancurd taste average on the other hand. The curry isn't spicy and rich enough and also kinda lack the curry fragrance. At $4.20, it is a bit expensive.

The plain white rice rice, slathered with 3 varieties of luscious curry gravies, made for a savoury gooey mess. Totally scrumptious. Would have been happy eating that alone.

Hainanese Pork Chop, tender morsels of pork strips encased in a light crisp batter, was one of the best renditions of this Hainanese classic.

Stewed Cabbage was simple comfort food done to its finest. All that flavoured this were tiny little dried shrimp and really good stock. The crunch of black fungus provided some contrast with the soft cabbage. I love this, and went back for seconds. And thirds.

Sauteed Potatoes with Mixed Vegetables, despite its less-than-appetizing dull-ish appearance, was fairly tasty. A bit average but with comforting homestyled flavours

Pork Ball was soaked in a pool of sweet onion brown gravy, further enhancing the flavourful marinade of the textured pork mince

Last Monday was a public holiday and I went for a morning forest walk starting from Henderson Wave, intending to end on the other end at Alexandra Arch. Unfortunately, the forest walk was under repair and I have to turn back for an early lunch.

I took a 2 stops bus ride to Tian Tian Hainanese Curry Rice at Bukit Merah View since I am at the vicinity. This place is very popular with taxi uncle. I noticed a lot of taxi parked at the carpark behind the coffee shop and taxi uncles sipping coffee or having lunch.

Unlike the norm Pork Chop served at other places, the Pork Chop here came served in a pool of gravy. Surprisingly the Pork Chop and the gravy just came together as one dish. In a way, it sort of given the Pork Chop a succulent taste.

The beautiful layers of fat and meat of the Lor Bak garnished with coriander was well braised with softness. I couldn't help going for more.

The Squid served in a curry gravy was not spicy. Like all traditional Hainanese dish, the taste is more inclined to the sweet side. The squid was nice and fresh but I would preferred it to be more springy.

The Stewed Cabbage is a must order dish for me whenever I have Hainanese Curry Rice. While the Pork Chop may have slightly different versions, the Stewed Cabbage has pretty similar preparation styles among the different stalls. I always enjoyed eating the sweet and soft Stewed Cabbage with my plate of rice.

This is one of the most popular hainanese curry rice amongst others in Singapore. It is definitely a must try for a hainanese curry rice fan like me. This stall opens at 8.00 am so if you wake up with a crazy crave for Hainanese curry rice then you should head right here to have your fix. It operates from 8.00 am to 9.30 pm and closed on alternate Tuesday.

The hainanese style pork chop is served in a a traditional hainanese sauce and not the typical tomato sauce that found in most hainanese stalls or eateries. Though the pork chop coated with a fluffy layer of breadcrumbs and deep fried to give it a nicely crisp texture but retain its succulent slice of pork in it.

They separated the special sauce for the pork chop when i ordered for taking away and i am supposed to combine the pork chop with the sauce when having it later. There were pieces of canned green peas and slices of onion found in the sauce. This is by far the best hainanese style pork chop with one of the best sauce that i ever tried.

The stewed cabbage is a must order, it was stewed till really soft with dried shrimps. The flavor of dried shrimps was rather distinctive in Hainanese style. I love to pour curry sauce over them and have it that way.

Another must order is the curry sotong. It was nicely cooked to give it a tender texture. I heard the curry powder is their secret recipe and it is prepared and safely guarded by the owner and his sons solely. No wonder their curry sotong is one of the best around.

The pork balls and braised meat are strongly recommended too. I will definitely be back to try them soon.

The different type of sauces are the deterrent factor of a good hainanese curry rice. And right at this stall, there are a total 6 different type of sauces to mix an addictive curry sauce. Amongst them are the seafood / chicken curry sauce, pork chop gravy, stewed cabbage sauce and the braised sauce. If you observed carefully, you can clearly see that they ladled from the different pots of sauce and mixed them together.

This is definitely one of the best Hainanese Curry Rice that i ever eaten. Queue might be expected as it is after all a stall that has made its name. Strongly recommended.
