Washokudokoro Waraku concept is an extension of Waraku's original restaurant but its abit more high class. We ordered a couple of dishes and they even had exclusives at Vivocity branch only. We had the ramen with tempura.. which was so-so only.. because I think now that I frequent tonkotsu ramen places 'normal' ramen just didnt cut it anymore. The ramen taste was rather bland even though the soup looks thick; ingredients were rather sparse and the tempura that came with it was too oily for our liking. The Seafood nabe was very delicious.. with pieces of scallops and lots of veg and mushroom.. making for a deliciously healthy meal. Broth was light but you can taste the falour of seafood and mushrooms in it
My boyfriend ordered the salmon sashimi, which comes in thick slices of succulent fish.. I would say the quality is mid-range, abit short of those at Sushi tei.
I find that the portions were abit small for the price they charged.. so in the end we ordered another okonomiyaki to share.. which then became too filling. The oko was huge comparatively, but i didnt like the mayonaise on top because it was abit too much. Other than that, taste is quite normal
It was good but nothing too memorable.
Overall I would say it makes for nice place to dine.. atmosphere is quiet and romantic but I find the food rather overpriced.
