First, you got to be patient if you want to eat this lor mee. Its queue is forever so long and the minimum waiting time is around 40 minutes. I've no idea what's so special about this lor mee with its horribly long queue. I think the cook's kinda slow and there's only one guy cooking so probably that's why it takes a long time?

Food wise, I thought it was too sticky. The paste was kind of too sticky to eat. I prefer less sticky ones.

It's also quite salty and flavourful.

I've to admit the fried fish was quite tasty and unique though.

But I don't think I'll eat it again, the queue's too long!!!!!!!!

Try it only if you're free to queue.

I was introduced to this stall by my hubby who swears by the Lor Mee here. Indeed, it's the best I have tried so far. Lor Mee - $3

What stands out for the lor mee dish here is the very special sauce. Instead of the usual uniformly black thick sauce we get elsewhere, the sauce here is interestingly speckled with some brown bits (some special ingredient or herb I gather) in addition to the bits of egg within. The resulting sauce is very unique and tasty. Working through the dish, I also bit into bits of fried fish that looks a bit like those used for salted fish, but the fish bits here were not salty. Perhaps that's one of their secret item. The other ingredients like ngoh hiang and fish cake given were generous. The egg was also well-braised. A note of warning: Their potent addition of chilli padi on top of the sambal chili given is really very fiery. So if you cannot take spiciness well, remember to at least remove the chilli padi from your dish first. Else, enjoy the hot shiokness!
5/5 for the taste of the lor mee!

Since this stall sells zha jiang mian as well, we ordered it to try too. Hmmm, I'll say just stick to the lor mee. The zha jiang mian here is pretty normal, nothing spectacular.
