Brought by MediaCorp artist, Jeff Wang, it was a local Taiwanese Cuisine. Selling several specialty foods from Taiwan, it was getting more and more famous. Awesome Taiwanese Chicken Bites with such attractive packaging, it looked tasty and was very suitable snacks just after dinner. Freshly fried, chicken was crispy yet not greasy. A bit spicy taste because of the chilli powder, it was appetizing. Price wise, it was still acceptable for me, $5.00 for one portion of chicken. continue reading

Wanted to order the crispy chicken but it was sold out. Hence, ordered the crispy fish instead. Though it is quite tasty and I assume is freshly cooked (given that it is hot when served), I feel that is not value for money as there are only a few pieces of fish (the vinegar fish and chips from British Chippy is definitely better and cheaper!). Personally, I also think that it has a sourish smell, provably due to the flavouring added to the fish, and hence, not everyone will like it. continue reading

Was walking around during lunch time for small bites as wasnt feeling too hungry. Saw the display of the menu outside Xiao Bar Wang and decided to give the fish and chicken bites a try. They sell separate chicken bites, fish bits or a mix so I ordered both just to try. The batter was very crispy and tasty with a little spicy touch. The fish tasted much better as the fish was fresh and flesh very soft and tender. However, i think fish is mpre expensive so there were probably more chicken than fish in the package. Quite expensive.. cost around $5 for such a small serving. continue reading

Whenever I pass by this place, I will definitely buy a few pieces of tea leaf eggs to bring back and share with my family members. The fragrant from the tea leaf is really nice and not overly coated with the tea leaves' flavour. The egg is quite chewy and not too hard in texture. Even though the price may be abit too high, but because of its nutritional value content, I will still buy it once in a while. continue reading

i suddenly had craving for oyster mee sua so I headed to the nearest branch to buy my favourite bowl of oyster mee sua. I like oyster mee sua cos their gravy is really tasty. it is very thick and I love the chilli that they add to the mee sua. It gives it a spicy taste.they are very generous with the shredded chicken as well. One more thing is that their mee sua is not overcooked. It still had some chewiness. Their oysters are really fresh as well though this they only gives 3 oysters. Nevertheless, this dish is really filling and tasty. continue reading
