Ask anyone who’s studied at NUS before and he or she is sure to have eaten at The Cheese Prata Shop before. Not surprisingly, I was an undergraduate at NUS a few years back and my friends and I have settled quite a number of dinners at this prata place throughout the years. Once in a while, we will still gather for a meal here even though we’ve all graduated – to reminisce about the uni days as well as for the food For me, I never fail to order these 2 items when I’m here… it’s definitely comfor

1)Maggi Goreng!
Honestly, I’ve not had maggi goreng from other places before. However, even though I don’t have any comparison, I strongly feel that their version is truly yummy! (I’m not the only one who says that!) This is a very simple dish consisting of maggi mee stir-fried with egg and some veg & shredded cabbage. As I have low tolerance for spicy food, I always ask for this to be non-spicy. I’m not sure what is it they add to make the noodles so red, but either way it’s all very delicious

2)Tomato Prata
This is a very straight forward dish – sliced tomato in prata. I think most people will think that this prata is kinda strange but there’s just something about the combination of sliced tomato and prata that I really reallyyyy like. The accompanying curry is also just right – nice and savoury with all the spice flavours infused together
