While most chinese dessert close early at night, this Ah balling stall was still opened at 9.30pm when I went for supper. There was a queue, but the service was fast. While most chinese dessert close early at night, this Ah balling stall was still opened at 9.30pm when I went for supper. There was a queue, but the service was fast.

There is a choice of soup (Ginger, Peanut or Almond) and 5 different flavors of ah balling, ie, glutinous rice to choose from. Out of the 5, the most unusual one is the green tea flavor, which unfortunately ran out.

I had peanut soup with sesame and yam ah balling. Even though it is a small bowl of dessert, it is very filling. The yam filling is very nice, almost like the texture of yam paste but without the overwhelming sweetness. Each bite is oozing with the ingredient.
