The Savoury Scones ($5.00) are baked to order, so it takes around 10 to 15 minutes for it to arrive. Do not expect your regular English scones here; these come in fours, bite-sized for a serving. Unlike English scones, there is no butter or jam to go with it. Traces of cheese and vegetables can be found in these scones, which makes them so savoury and addictive with every bite.

This is also the very same item that most of the regulars swear by. While largely agreed that the Pandan Chiffon Cake ($4.00) was grossly overpriced, it is also agreed that it really is not the one that you would get from your neighbourhood bakeries. It might look unimpressive, but the fluffiness and airiness of the cake is something we just cannot get enough of.

Another item that we thought was rather overpriced would be the MIL Pineapple Tarts ($4.00). While looking really similar to some Pineapple Tarts sold during festive occasions, the pastry is undoubtedly firm, yet crumbles down nicely when popped in the mouth without clumping up while swallowing. There were also fine fibres in the pineapple paste which was something I really liked about it.

The Banana Nutella Panini ($5.00) is something that can be created at home with sliced bananas, bread and a jar of Nutella with less money involved. The combination of hazelnut and chocolate spread and bananas makes up for a delightful breakfast. The Panini was crispy, but not consistent throughout with some tough bits here and there. For a meal that can be simply replicated at home, we wondered if it was really money well spent.

There was no form of dressing nor sauces found in the Rosemary Chicken Sandwich ($9.00), which definitely makes it plain as compared to similar sandwiches sold in other cafes. As such, this is one of the items that would not appeal to those who prefer to have intense flavours in their food. The chicken is just grilled and toasted with the bread with a light seasoning to taste, with the addition of Watercress as the choice of green for the sandwich. Despite tasting rather plain, it felt rather clean and light on the palate. It takes time for one to taste the various flavours of the different ingredients, and though it did not hit on well with us for the first few bites, we quite enjoyed it nonetheless when we were finishing it off. A salad is also included as a side with fresh Cherry Tomatoes and grapes added for a juicy and fruity kick.

I was pretty mind blown by the Pork Burger with Apple Sauce ($14.00), which is only available after 6pm as part of the dinner menu. The Pork Burger was grilled and cooked through, but to the extent where it was very tender. The patty also had a flame-grilled flavour that burgers these days seemed to lack. The Apple Sauce was goes with the buns, though it would have been better if the buns were also grilled. There are plenty of greens in this burger, which makes the burger feel less sinful.
