FoodMy last visit to Mun Chee Kee is around last year in Lavendar. Till then, I have not patronized the shop as I dont enjoy the food as it service standard had dropped tremendously! This is the salted fish meat pancake! It's just a small plate with a few braised peanuts on top. Good tasting, do give it a try.
Have my bowl of good tasting pig organ soup with a big bowl of rice. Soup was flavourful as usual and doesnt taste as bad as the last round when i had in lavendar - I felt very thirsty after the meal during my last visit. Ingredients are fresh and does not have strong porky smell - means they have do a good cleanup of the organs. Do note that the chilli is spicy.
Braised pig trotters is good. We used the black braised gravvy to mix with our rice and enjoyed the tenderness of the trotter's meat. It's scrumptious.
ServiceOrder and pay first and get serve later. This place is better than the other outlet!
Ambience
The toilet is located at the far end of the place and we are not able to go to the toilet via the sheltered walkway through the shop and instead we have to make a big round. That day was drizzling and that's the bad point about it. As for the decorations, it has its own theme - quite a number of antiques (old cameras , old electronics ) were displayed on the shelves mounted on their walls.
Price
Relatively reasonable, almost the same as hawker center.
Recommendation / Tips
Soup are refillable. Ask for more if you like the soup!
