10 Food Places We Love in Suntec City

suntec city food guide
Late last year, Suntec City underwent its final phase of its three year long, $410 million redevelopment plan. After its major revamp, Suntec City has more food choices than ever, and here’s a list of our favourite eateries in the mall!

North Wing

1. District 10 Bar & Grill

District 10 Bar & Grill
District 10 Bar & Grill’s specialty is its dry-aged meats, where dry-aging is a traditional preservation method employed to not only control wastage, but also bring out a better flavour from the meat. We highly recommend the 45 Days Home Dry Aged Corn Fed US Prime Traditional Florentina Steak ($22 per 100gm), which turned out to be one of the most tender, succulent steaks we’ve ever had the pleasure of devouring. Suntec City Mall, 3 Temasek Boulevard #01-514/515 Singapore 038983

2. Maguro-Donya Miura-Misaki-Kou Sushi & Dining

Maguro-Donya Miura-Misaki-Kou Sushi & Dining
If you’re craving for some top-grade sashimi, you no longer have to fly all the way to Japan – just get your sashimi fix at Maguro-Donya with the Five Cuts Hon Maguro Sashimi ($49)! This features five parts of Blue Fin Maguro – Akami (Top Loin), Chutoro (Bottom Loin), Otoro (Belly), Kamatory (Cheek), and Mekajiki (Swordfish), with the Otoro being the fattiest and having the most ‘melt-in-your-mouth’ texture! Suntec City Mall, 3 Temasek Boulevard #03-314 Singapore 038983

3. Bottura

Bottura
Bottura prides itself on quality and authenticity, with all ingredients except perishables being imported from suppliers in Italy, and all pastas being handmade on a daily basis. Not wanting to stick to the typical pizza or pasta dish, we tried the Roast Beef Con Rucola E Parmigiano ($18), a cold roast beef dish with rocket salad and shaved parmesan – a great alternative for anyone who wants to enjoy some meat, without the heaviness that you get from a full-blown burger or steak. Suntec City Mall, 3 Temasek Boulevard #02-472/473/474 Singapore 038983

East Wing

4. Tuk Tuk Cha

Tuk Tuk Cha
Tuk Tuk Cha is a small stall serving Thai desserts and snacks, featuring a shiny new Tuk Tuk (well, the front of a Tuk Tuk, with the rest of it being converted into a table) that will undoubtedly draw those of us millennials who are always on the lookout for a photo opportunity. Although the presentation of our Sticky Rice Mango ($6) left much to be desired, we were pleasantly surprised when we dug in. Within those two seconds, it was as though we were transported back to Thailand. Suntec City Tower 3, 3 Temasek Boulevard #02-605A Singapore 038983

5. Morganfield’s

Morganfield’s
Morganfield’s – also known as home of sticky bones – is an American style diner specializing in authentic, old-fashioned, slow-cooked pork ribs. Go for their signature Hickory Wood-Smoked Ribs (half slab, $27.90), which we’re glad to report lives up to their description as ‘the most tender, succulent and hearty pork ribs in town’. Suntec City Mall, 3 Temasek Boulevard #01-645 Singapore 038983

6. Alt Pizza

Alt Pizza
With its neon red lighting on the ceilings and its funky art featuring Bruce Lee and Singa the courtesy lion in the same breath, Alt Pizza certainly stands out. Similarly, the Free Bird Pizza ($15) that we ordered was also somewhat of a departure from the typical pizzas that you get, with the star ingredient, chipotle chicken, being a breath of fresh air. Visit on weekdays between 4-6pm to enjoy their happy hour, when they have an irresistible 1-for-1 pizza offer! Suntec City Mall, 3 Temasek Boulevard #01-602/603 Singapore 038983

West Wing

7. Mad For Garlic

Mad For Garlic
Mad For Garlic is pretty self-explanatory – it’s basically a utopia for all garlic lovers. In our opinion: maybe not the best place for a first date, but apart from that, this place definitely gets the thumbs up. Our Garlicpeno Pasta ($18.50) was deliciously spicy and savoury, and extremely satisfying despite being a vegetarian dish. Suntec City Mall, 3 Temasek Boulevard #02-300/301 Singapore 038983

8. Kimchi Korean Restaurant

Kimchi Korean Restauran
Kimchi Korean Restaurant has a very extensive menu – apart from the classic Korean dishes, they also feature regional specialties from Busan and Andong which are less commonly found in other Korean restaurants in Singapore. We went for the Kimchi Jjigae ($12.90), a traditional kimchi soup with pork, vegetables and tofu, which makes the perfect comfort food when paired with a bowl of fragrant pearly rice. Suntec City Mall, 3 Temasek Boulevard #02-387 Singapore 038983

9. Keisuke Ramen

Keisuke Ramen
Keisuke Ramen, with all its emphasis on customizations, is surely able to cater to even the pickiest of customers. We opted for the Crab Stock Ramen ($13.90), and further to choosing your dish, you get to choose the intensity of soup, amount of oil, and noodle texture. Based on the standard dish with no alterations made, the Crab Stock Ramen comes with a very thick, savoury broth that’s reminiscent of lobster bisque, as well as delightfully springy noodles. Suntec City Mall, 3 Temasek Boulevard #02-391/392 Singapore 038983

Fountain Terrace

10. L’entrecote

L’entrecote
Modelled after a casual French restaurant in Paris, L’entrecote serves a variety of classic French dishes in an intimate, unpretentious setting. Our Les Moules ($20), which is Mariniere or sailor-style mussels served with French fries, certainly did not disappoint. We thoroughly enjoyed the garlicky, briny broth, and the perfectly cooked mussels. 5 Temasek Boulevard, #B1-128 Tower 5, Suntec City, Singapore 038985
