Iconic Mooncakes @ Lao Zi Hao | OpenRice Singapore

Lao Zi Hao Confectionery & Souvenirs was founded by Mr Tam and renowned confectionery chain management guru, Master Tang. Their ultimate aim was to set up a place where both locals and foreigners, who were either studying or working in Singapore, could purchase iconic souvenirs – souvenirs which captured the “Uniquely Singapore” idea. Needless to say, that goal was met, and they have their mooncakes to attribute their great success to! According to Master Tang, there are over 10 different fillings of the mooncakes made by Lao Zi Hao. The range includes ham and scallop, to name a few, and almost half of the mooncake recipes have been passed down from generation to generation.

The sweet, creamy texture of the Double Egg Yolk with White Lotus Paste mooncake is great for those with a sweet tooth. Those that favour savoury choices can pick either the crunchy Scallop, Ham with Mixed Nuts or the Premium Ham with Nuts mooncake.
