With a whirlwind of new restaurant openings after Chinese New Year, you will have countless of reasons to eat out for the month of March. Here is a list of the newest and most noteworthy restaurant openings in Singapore.

1. Nookie Yogurt

Home-grown brand Nookie Yogurt joins the local fro-yo scene with confidence. With a simple concept to serve frozen yogurt topped with generous amounts of goodies, expect tempting flavours such as Red Velvet Parfait and Lemongrass White Chocolate. A cup of signature pre-picked fro-yo will cost you a reasonable $6.90, as each cup comes with liberal amounts of sauces and toppings. Try this – Chocolate Caramel Fudge. Even for non-chocolate lovers, this delicious cup of frozen yogurt might just make you a chocoholic! 2. Adrift by David Myers

Celebrity chef David Myers starts the ball rolling with his first ever restaurant in Singapore, located at Marina Bay Sands. He joins the likes of other new celebrity chef openings slated to open this year such as Gordon Ramsay’s Bread Street Kitchen. Adrift showcases Chef David Myers’ ideas and inspirations from his travels brought to life with the various East-meets-West fusion dishes. Expect quirky variations of classics such as Caramel Popcorn with Togarashi and Foie Gras Bahn Mi. 3. Ginzawa

Replacing Sushi Kuu is the rebranded, Ginzawa. Led by Chef Donny Tan, Ginzawa serves up a completely new menu with new dishes and better prices. With a chic contemporary interior, they also have a special private room and dividers for a more intimate dining experience. Try this – Tokusen Hokkai Chirashi Don ($50 for a lunch set, pictured), 11 premium seafood ingredients over a bed of Japanese rice. 4. Project Açaí

Located at Holland Village, Project Açaí has a simple concept of serving acai, a super-fruit known to have countless health benefits. Acai berries, for example, are known to enhance athletic performance and boost heart health. You can grab the smoothies and fruit bowls to go for a nice pick-me-up at any point in the day. 5. The Clueless Goat

Opened by a duo that used to work at Penny University, this new addition joins the likes of other notable eateries along Thomson Road. With arguably the most pocket-friendly prices, a serving of Poached Eggs on toast will only cost you a mere $7. The Clueless Goat offers a comforting ambience to pair up with their unpretentious fare. Try this – Cremini Melt ($8), sourdough toast enveloping sautéed garlic butter cremini mushrooms, swiss cheese, caramelized onions and mustard. 6. Wilder

Yet another café opening, Wilder hopes to set itself apart with nice rustic interior and potted plants for a minimalist look. This halal café serves up a wide range of café fare from desserts to all-day breakfast items. Try this – Big Breakfast, a combination of salad, eggs, turkey bacon and potatoes – the full works. 7. The Snack Culture Company

Adopting the small plates culture and communal dining is the fresh new face at CT Hub, The Snack Culture Company. Besides serving up an affordable lunch time menu, where their items go for $8 each (3 for $20), they serve up an interesting 9 plate omakase degustation menu ($49/pax) on Friday and Saturday nights. The generous spread includes items such as Mini Korean Mandu in chilled Singapore Bak Kut Teh Consomme and Kaffir Tomato Capellini Pasta + Cantonese ‘Har Jeong’ Soft Shell Crab. 8. ThePropertyCafé

A first of its kind, ThePropertyCafe has a simple concept – serve good coffee with free real estate information. This café with a unique concept also serves homely cuisine to pair up with your drinks. Try their Chicken Curry with Tomato Rice ($5.80). This comfort food is fuss-free and delicious. 9. Chick And Ken

With a fun name like Chick And Ken, this newly opened restaurant joins the likes of other Korean Fried Chicken eateries that have been springing up over the past few months. 10. +39 Gelato Bar

As the very first live gelato concept in Singapore, +39+ serves only fresh gelato that is made daily in store. Using no added flavourings, colours, preservative or chemical additives, they serve a wide range of flavours for you to choose from! Try this – Pistachio Gelato. 11. Mischief

Mouth-watering American street food is served at this new bar and eatery at Esplanade Mall. Opened by celebrities, Daniel Ong, Michelle Chong and Cynthia Koh, the restaurant is the result of their joint passion for food. Try their Mischief Cubanos ($20) and Apple Pie Cocktail (pictured). 12. Meat Smith

Meat Smith, unlike its sister company Burnt Ends, is a contemporary American smokehouse that specialises in meat smoked with a fusion of international flavours. The restaurant offers meticulously smoked meat such as beef and pork at pocket-friendly prices. Try this – Brisket Sandwich ($10). 13. Paddy Hills

Officially opened on 3 March 2015, Paddy Hills serves a unique range of Japanese-Australian fusion food and also specialty coffee and alcohol selections. In the day, they serve freshly made pasta with other cafe fare, but at night, they transform into a swanky asian tapas restaurant that also serves a range of alcoholic drinks.
