Marina Bay is a quintessential stop for any tourist in Singapore. It’s where you’ll get a taste of modern luxury, be it in art, science, nature, food or retail. Here are some key attractions to visit, as well as some recommended bites while you’re there!

Attraction #1: Gardens by the Bay

Take your cameras and nature-loving selves to Gardens by the Bay, which features the iconic Supertrees that stand at 16 storeys high with a suspended walkway between each tree. To escape the heat, get tickets to the two conservatories – Cloud Forest and Flower Dome. The former features the world’s tallest indoor waterfall and puts you in the misty tropical highlands while the latter offers vibrant seasonal flower displays such as cherry blossoms and tulips. Hungry? Within the beautiful Flower Dome is Pollen, which offers British cuisine with a dash of Asian influence. There’s also Majestic Bay Seafood Restaurant located below for a little Chilli Crab or restaurant signature Kopi Crab indulgence. (Images: OpenRice Singapore, Pollen Singapore Facebook Page)

Attraction #2: ArtScience Museum

If you’re looking to fill some hours lost in the world of exhibitions, make sure you drop by the ArtScience Museum at Marina Bay. This prominent architecture that sits along the waterfront has hosted popular and critically acclaimed exhibitions such as Da Vinci: Shaping the Future, Harry Potter: The Exhibition and Dreamworks Animation: The Exhibition. For families with kids, take advantage of Family Fridays – free admission for children under 12 years old (Conditions apply).

Attraction #3: Marina Bay Sands

The ever so distinct Marina Bay Sands is home to Singapore’s largest hotel, a sky park with an infinity pool, premium luxury brands, two world-class theatres, convention centres, as well as an ice skating rink to boot. On top of that, several celebrity chef restaurants such as CUT by Wolfgang Puck, Gordon Ramsay’s Bread Street Kitchen, Adrift by David Myers and Daniel Boulud’s db Bistro & Oyster Bar have also added their culinary spark to The Shoppes at Marina Bay. A highlight for tea lovers would be a stop at TWG Tea Salon and Boutique’s two outlets, where over a thousand single harvest teas and tea blends in gorgeous canisters await.
