Supertree Dining @ Gardens by the Bay

You’ve seen and heard all about Gardens by the Bay, but do you know what’s there to eat at Singapore’s newest attraction?

Supertree Dining features not one, not two, but five very different dining concepts in one uniquely humungous food hub. With a great view of the main cluster of Supertrees in the Gardens (yes, that’s what the towering Avatar-ish trees are called), you can chow down on a great variety of food at Supertree Dining, from hawker classics like hokkien mee to too-pretty-to-eat treats like macaroons.


Named in honour of the iconic Hill Street area, brand new F&B outlet Hill Street Coffee Shop has 50 over local hawker delights (including drinks like teh si and kopi xiu dai) on its menu, ranging from light bites like soft, fluffy steamed bread with kaya and butter ($2++) to satisfactory mains such as laksa ($8.90++) and nasi lemak ($8.90++).


Craving for some oriental flavours? You can look to Peach Garden Noodle House, the casual dining version of the popular Peach Garden restaurant. Steamed Chicken Bun with Baby Abalone, Chinese Sausage and Mushroom ($12.80++), Steamed Xiao Long Bao with Goose Liver in Shark’s Bone Cartilage Soup ($12.80++), Special Edition GBB (Gardens by the Bay) Chicken Rice ($18.80++), Noodle with Fresh Prawn Dumpling ($7++) and Selection of Fruits Shaved Ice (from $6.80–$8.80++) are just some of the divine dishes you can select from the menu.


A wide selection of wood-fired pizzas, fresh pastas and anitipasti and an extensive wine list are available at the casual Italian trattoria, Casa Verde. Recommended dishes include Sfilatino (mozzarella, ham and mushroom pizza in spring roll style, served with salsa dip) ($24++), Casa Verde salad ($12++) and Baked Macaroni with Mushroom and Mozzarella Cheese ($14++), the signature creation of Casa Verde’s resident chef.


The next eatery at Supertree Dining may come as a surprise. Canelé Pâtisserie Chocolaterie is the chic restaurant many of us are familiar with, and seeing it in a food hub style area really is an interesting sight. In addition to the usual all-day dining favourites such as salads, soups, sandwiches, pastas, crepes and ice cream, you can try the new savoury wrap selections, like the Canelé Chicken Caesar Wrap ($8), which were introduced to the menu for the opening of Canelé at Gardens by the Bay. Also, don’t miss out on the Limited Edition Summer Macarons ($2.50 for 1 piece, $11.50 for 6 pieces, $21.50 for 12 pieces), available from early July to mid August only!


Last in the row of Supertree Dining eateries is Texas Chicken. What makes this outlet so special is that it offers the Fire Wrap ($7.80 for set meal), something that isn’t available at any other Texas Chicken outlets in Singapore. Plus, as the only fast food restaurant in Gardens by the Bay, Texas Chicken is a great choice for both fast food lovers and Muslim foodies – a nice finishing touch to the diverse range of available cuisines set to cater to the different budgets and tastes of visitors to Gardens by the Bay.
