Savour Quality Roasted Meats at King's Roasts

We often find numerous meat stalls at hawker centres, coffee shops and food courts across Singapore; so much that they don’t really pique our interest anymore. They all look quite similar with racks of roasted meats displayed in front of the stalls and the sound of the stall owner chopping the meat with a carving knife.
King’s Roasts offer diners a traditional taste of roasted meat using modern cooking techniques.
At King’s Roasts, situated at a newly-renovated food court along Balestier Road, there’s more than meets the eye. Chef Kingsley (pictured in yellow top), who is equipped with years of experience in the F&B and hospitality scene, prepares the roasted meat daily using his priced ‘combi oven’. This unique technology encompasses steaming and baking the meat at the same, ensuring that the meat retains its moisture and crisp outer layer.
Appetizing side dishes like the Thai-Style Tofu was a delightful start
Before chomping down the stall’s signature roasts, Chef Kingsley presented us and our OpenRicers with some side dishes like the homemade Thai-Style Tofu (top left) - deep fried in high heat with a thin layer of crispy crust yet silky moist within. Chef’s secret sauce made it appetizing that everyone enjoyed very much. Besides the fragrant and white rice, there are choices of Hong Kong-style noodle and hor fun to choose from that is doused with a mild sweet and savoury sauce concocted daily.
Roasted meat galore!
The roasted meats here are freshly prepared daily by Chef Kingsley who emphasizes a lot on its flavour and quality. With the use of his ‘combi oven’, we were able to savour the goodness from the Roasted Meat Platter (below) with a lovely aroma and crisp on the layer of skin and succulent meat that is within. No artificial colouring is added to the char siew and its traditional flavour has won the heart of our members. Besides roasted pork, they do have other selections like the Roasted Duck (top right) and fans of chicken rice can indulge in the tenderly Roasted Chicken (top left) to go along a blend of condiments available like the fiery chili sauce.

Trying out Chef’s Kingsley quality combi-oven roasted meats was such an appetite-opening experience for our members. They all agreed that his version was much better than the factory mass prepared ones. The quality is also comparable to that of a restaurant’s, but the prices are way more affordable.
