There was a special promotion in October for WAH! Korea Club members for its Korean BBQ buffet - an additional 10% off the already-discounted price of $17.90++ (original dinner buffet price at $28.90++). There was a special promotion in October for WAH! Korea Club members for its Korean BBQ buffet - an additional 10% off the already-discounted price of $17.90++ (original dinner buffet price at $28.90++). Since it's so near my office, I decided to meet my friends for dinner here.

The restaurant exterior didn't look too appealing. While we waited to be seated in the restaurant, no waiter wanted to bring us to our seats for quite a while, although they were just walking around & definitely looked in our direction! This kind of "welcome" already made us feel not-so-welcome. -_-" Finally when a Filipino waitress came and brought us in, we were given a table just next to the entrance, & not allowed to change seats because "more private seating reserved for regular customers".

As we hadn't catch up for quite a while, we started chatting once seated, while waiting for someone to guide us how to start the buffet (since it was our first time). Again no 1 bothered to come and guide us!
It was till at least 5 minutes later the same waitress who brought us to our table, came hurriedly and told us to help ourselves to the food at the buffet counter. We had to self-serve at this restaurant, including getting water and utensils! Couldn't she brief us immediately when we were seated?

I went to the food counter to get the meat for BBQ, and was quite disappointed at the variety available. Only pork, chicken and beef in marinated and spicy versions were available. For seafood, only prawns and sotong were available. There were also hotdogs and sweet corn. The side dishes didn't look too impressive too. Oh but the Kimchi was very spicy, I choked on the spice a few times haha. There were ice cream and cut watermelon slices at 1 corner. The other corner was occupied by cooked rice and miso soup. I only took 3 pictures of the food as I was too disappointed to take more. Haha...

The bean paste sauce here was very salty and not spicy at all. I didn't know and took a saucer full of the sauce, and immediately regretted after trying as the meats were quite flavourful and didn't need much salty sauce already. So I added kimchi into my BBQ meat wrapped with vegetable instead for the spicy taste, and that's when I was choked by the kimchi haha. I liked the coleslaw, as it was crunchy and chewy, probably because of the vermicelli they added I guess. I didn't eat the prawns and sotong, but according to my friends, they weren't very fresh. As for the other meats, chicken was the nicer one.

After few rounds of meat, we were very full and so tried the miserable dessert section - only 2 types of ice cream and 1 type of fruit available. The ice cream was very hard and we had a tough time scooping up! Luckily they tasted quite good afterall haha. By then it was around 9.30pm already and we felt like we smelt of BBQ meat ourselves, think it's due to the poor ventilation.

Overall, I would not recommend friends craving for authentic and yummy Korean BBQ to come here, especially if it's at the original price. There is also a serious lack of service in this restaurant yet they still have 10% service charge! Maybe to them changing the BBQ plates warrants the service charge (they changed 3x for us) -_-"
