Since the first opening of the famous hong kong dim sum outlet at plaza singapura, long queues can be seen especially during lunch hours. I have tried to patronise their outlet during the first few weeks after their opening but due to the large amount of customer queue which will eventually take several hours, I have decided to come on another time. This time round after several months later, I decided to come on a weekday lunch time and queue can still be seen but not too much as compared to the time when it first open. After waiting for around a hour plus, it is time to get to taste the famous hong kong tim sum. I have ordered some of the famous item which is the bbq char siew pao, steamed ma la gao and the steamed siew mai. Firstly, the famous bbq char siew pao has a nice light golden brown colour, buttery flaky crust and a generous amount of well-seasoned char
siew fillings in it. Next the steamed ma la gao is my favourite as it has a soft and very spongy texture, has a light brown sugar flavour and almost has the melt in the mouth effect. As for the steamed siew Mai, it is sufficiently steamed and has generous amount of the fillings. Apart from this item, I have also tried the carrot cake, zhu chang fen with char siew fillings and other items as well. Overall, I can say that most of the items are quite tasty and some are even better than our locally dim sum stall. However, it will be good if they have sell the liu sa pao which is the custard egg yolk pao. Price wise is a bit steep as compared to local dim sum stall. [Review from mobile]
