Foodies are in for another treat. The sixth edition of the Singapore Restaurant Week will once again take place from 18 to 24 March 2013. And you know what that means? Your favourite restaurants will be offering a three course lunch for $25++* and dinner for $35++*.
During the Restaurant Week’s media launch at The GIG at St. James Power Station, Dining City Singapore’s Managing Director Desi Wentwink proudly announced that for the last Singapore Restaurant Week in October 2012, they have garnered an astounding 37,000 reservations. Now, their goal is to beat that number by bringing in more restaurants this year. This year, food enthusiasts can look forward to new additions such as the widely-acclaimed French restaurant Gunther's, Le Petit Cancale, Kaixo, Fandango Tapas & Wine Bar, Tatsu Sushi & Teppanyaki, Parsley & Thyme, J’s, 7Adam, The Royal Mail, OTTO Locanda, Picotin Express, Little Diner, Laurent Bernard Chocolatier @ Portsdown, and Etna @ Duxton.
They will join hot favourites like Au Jardin, Bistro Du Vin, Absinthe, Amuse, Buyan Russian Haute Cuisine & Caviar Bar, Garibaldi, Equinox, Stellar at 1-Altitude, Salt Grill & Sky Bar, Forest @ Resort World Sentosa, The Moluccas Room, Violet Oon’s Kitchen, Punjab Grill, Tanjong Beach Club, Zafferano, and The Song of India. All in all, there are 110 participating restaurants for this edition of Restaurant Week. Bookings will open on 22 February 2013 and foodies can make reservations through their website. Like all other editions, American Express is again the proud partner of Singapore Restaurant Week. As such, AMEX card holders once again have priority booking privileges before it opens to the public. For the first time in history, DiningCity will also launch a new mobile app for iPhone/IOS users only. The Bucket—Scratch & Win allows participants to scratch and win on their phones from 18 to 24 March 2013. Prizes up for grabs include two tickets to Bali courtesy of KLM Airlines, 1-night stay at Capella Hotel, $500 Garibaldi Wine & Dine experience, and one year subscription to Timeout Magazine. For the grand prize, they will be giving away two tickets to a pair of lucky diners to attend the Amsterdam Restaurant Week.
