If you want our recommendation, you can start with their Vegetable Stew with Tortilla Chips. This appetiser is made from a selection of the finest and freshest vegetables which are stewed to perfection with their original figo tomato sauce. This is served with their home-made tortilla chips. Since this is cooked upon order, you can be assured that these are crispy and tasty! Trust us, one order is not enough for these chips are so addicting! You just can’ get enough!
Tortilla Chips with Tomato Salsa, $6.90
For something different, you can also try their Tortilla Chips with Tomato Salsa. Served with the tortilla chips is a different kind of tomato salsa. It’s thicker and has a bit of a kick because it’s a bit spicy. However, you can always let the chef know beforehand if you prefer it mild or spicy and they can adjust the salsa to your liking.
Pesto Chicken, $16.90
As for their main courses, you can start off with their Meatballs with Fig & Tomato Sauce or their Pesto Chicken. The latter one is one of their most popular as it is made up of succulent roasted boneless chicken topped with parsley and cilantro. It is served with herbs olive rice or bread. Your choice, your order!
Chicken Enchiladas, $10.90
Are you ready for another recommendation? You can also have their Chicken Enchiladas for sharing. These chicken slices marinated in their special sauce and wrapped in tortilla bread. What makes this extra special is their tahini dressing. It sounds exotic but this is made of ground sesame and lemon. It has a slight bitter taste yet that lemon extract balances the taste.
Beef Stew, $21.90
You can’t really leave Fig & Olive without trying out their specialty—the Beef Stew. Unlike most dishes where there’s sauce, this one is a bit thick due to the number of hours it was marinated. Because of this, the beef is oh-so tender and flavourful. Enjoy it together with their home-made baguette.
One thing about Fig & Olive is that their dishes stay true to the original preparation of these Mediterranean delights. So, once you dine at this restaurant, it would seem like you’ve already travelled the Mediterranean countries in one sitting. Isn’t that fab?!
