For the whole month of November, dig into the Lobster Shack promotion, as newly-appointed Executive Chef Heman Tan offers a wide array of meat and seafood dishes with a touch of that sweet and juicy crustacean meat we just can’t get enough of.
Blue Crab & Slipper Lobster Timbale
Enjoy the appealing appetiser- the Blue Crab & Slipper Lobster Timbale ($9.50/ala carte, $7.60/ set meal) which is made with two of the best crustacean meats, it’s topped with ebiko and served with fresh arugula leaves, pineapple bits, and capsicum salad. The overall flavour is the perfect balance of sweet, nutty, and tangy. Yum!
Fish Schnitzel with Soft Shell Crab
Main courses are no exception. The Fish Schnitzel with Soft Shell Crab ($19.80) is made with first class barramundi fish coated with crunched biscuits and herbs. According to Chef Heman, the barramundi is deep fried and baked before it’s topped with parmesan cheese and lemon wedges, allowing it to retain that crunchy exterior with the fish still moist on the inside. Served on the side are waffle fries (a first at Jack’s Place!) and crispy soft shell crab! Eat them together with the curry mayo dip for that added kick. Cheese lovers will adore the Grilled Half Slipper Lobster, Barramundi Fillet & Crab Leg Kani in Cheesy Au Gratin ($22.50) with a luscious layer of cheese that can enhance the sweetness of the seafood. Complemented with the creamy mushroom rice pilaf, it can be a satisfying meal for you!
N.Z. Ribeye Steak with Half Slipper Lobster Au Gratin
The N.Z Ribeye Steak with Half Slipper Lobster Au Gratin ($28.50) has got sweet chunky slipper lobster meat seated atop a chunk of tender, juicy steak, with boiled potatoes, bacon bits, and seasonal greens on the side. The way to eat this is to get a little bit of everything and do it in one mouthful! Make sure you’ve got some of the sauce on both the meat and lobster for that nomnom experience.
Grilled Half Slipper Lobster, Barramundi Fillet & Crab Leg Kani in Cheesy Au Gratin
Other notable mentions are the Smokey Pineapple BBQ Boneless Chicken Leg with Tian of Half Slipper Lobster ($18.80) – a boneless chicken leg and half slipper lobster with curry cream dressing; N.Z. Beef Tenderloin with Marinated Blue Crab & Slipper Lobster Meat ($28.50) – which is topped with Lobster Bisque; and the Spiny Lobster Thermidor ($40) – a traditional lobster dish served with seasonal greens and grilled cherry tomatoes. For all the main dishes, you can have them ala carte or a set meal for an additional $5. This will come with the soup of the day, day’s dessert, and coffee/tea. For the big saver meal, just top up $8.80 and each one will have additional ala carte soup and your choice of pastry/dessert/coffee or tea.
