Royal Plaza on Scotts has launched a line of artisan cupcakes by Gourmet Carousel that might just be too beautifully done to be eaten. Sink your teeth into these chic creations to find out if they taste as good as they look.
Original Flavours
Classics never go wrong. These come elevated with premium ingredients and intricate designs.
The luxurious Red Velvet cupcake is crowned with cream cheese, red sponge crumbs and raspberry meringue balls, giving it a balanced variety of textures and flavours.
Cranberry Orange is a combination of flavours from the orange peel, dried cranberries and lemon cream. Two more original flavours available are Chocolat and Caramel Almond.
Savoury Selections
To the adventurous, this trio of unconventional and savoury cupcakes is for you – Salted Egg Yolk, Corn & Scallion and Olive Polenta & Salami. The Salted Egg Yolk is an appetizing combination of salted egg yolk and potato mousseline, topped with mango ravioli and whipped cream.
Healthy and Gluten-Free Options
Health conscious individuals, who would typically turn away a cupcake, will fall in love with these gluten-free cupcakes with unique flavours. The range includes Carrot, Fruity Muesli, Honey & Figs, Flourless Dark Chocolate and Raspberry Lemon.
Unlike the usual cream cheese slathered carrot cakes, the Carrot cupcake here is filled with carrots, raisins, pineapples, pecans and hazelnut brown butter with coconut.
Cupcakes are sold individually at $6 and in boxes of 3 at $17 and 6 at $32. Mini versions are also available and sold in boxes of 12 at $39, 36 at $99 and 48 at $128.
