The picturesque view from Maisson Ikkoku's alfresco area
Just recently, Maison Ikkoku added a semi-alfresco cocktail bar on the third level, which offers you a picture-perfect view of Singapore’s city skyline as well as iconic architectures (such as the nearby mosque) in Singapore. To celebrate its opening, Head Mixologist Ethan Leslie Leong has come up with three special flavours inspired by influential personalities.

Singer, songwriter, and actress Aarika Lee inspired the drink, the Dream Catcher ($25), which epitomises her drive to protect her dreams and turn them into reality. The result is a drink which initially has a light and fruity flavour (pineapple and pomegranate), but packs a punch on the last sip.

Daniel Boey, fashion and creative director, show producer, inspired the hot pink drink called The Fabulous DianaV ($25). It’s named after US Vogue’s ex-editor Diana Vreeland, who best represents Daniel’s dreams and inspirations in his career. As such, the cocktail is a mixture of flavours yet interestingly, blends well with one another.

A stronger cocktail drink inspired by Creative Director and Editor is Justin Long'sA Long Cocktale ($25). It’s served with banana and caramelised sugar on top. This drink is best enjoyed after a long day at work for its purpose is to revive and relax a tired body.
Aside from these highlighted drinks, Ethan also populates Maison Ikkoku's cocktail menu with his signature drinks such as the MI1 White French Maid ($25) for coffee buffs and MI2 Passionate Moment($22) for fruit lovers. Fans of classic cocktails will be glad to know that Maison Ikkoku also serves Mojito and Martini in different varieties.
Accompanying these cocktail drinks are some light bites such as the Spam fries, MI Chicken Wings, Cheese Croquettes, and Margarita Pizzas. These go really well with all cocktail drinks and are best shared with friends after a hard day’s work or lazy weekend.
