Tiong Bahru Bakery Launches New Lunch and Tea Sets

Newly launched Café Gourmand Set ($16) at Tiong Bahru Bakery just made it as our weekday afternoon tea solution. Available from Mondays to Fridays from 3pm to 6pm, the tea set comes plated on a blue rustic tile with a medley of four different desserts hand-picked by Gontran Cherrier himself on his recent visit to Singapore. The party of pastries carries both sweet and tangy flavours, without any one of them overpowering the rest. Main stayers on the platter include the Mixed Berry Tart, a Mini Pear Vanilla Verrine and custardy Canelé. And filling in that last spot is your choice of a Passion Fruit and Mango Tart, a brownie or a Coffee and Walnut Slice. Finally, settle your caffeine fix of coffee or tea for an additional $3.

No time for tea? Go for the new daily Panini Lunch Set ($9.90) from 11.30am to 3pm instead. With a side of freshly tossed Caesar salad, these hot and crisp sandwiches come oozing with melted cheese in two variations: Smoked Salmon and Cream Cheese or Bacon and Mushroom Curry. Other new and notable additions to the bakery's line of breads and pastries include the Pistachio & Apricot Kouign Amann, as well as two delish Hot Dog Viennas. Note: Tiong Bahru Bakery's new Cafe Gourmand and Panini Lunch Sets are only available at the Raffles City and Eng Hoon Street outlets.
