Why Don't You Try These New Items at Hippopotamus?

A slice of Paris is now in Singapore. One of France’s most famous steak places (which was born in Paris in 1968), Hippopotamus Restaurant Grill, now occupies a cosy and casual space on the first level of Marina Square. Just like its 130 plus outlets in its native country, its first restaurant in Singapore offers you a myriad of steaks, classic French appetisers, sauces and sides suited for every foodie! To add on to these signatures, Hippopotamus has also introduced new items to its current menu. Let’s begin with the starters. Cheese lovers will rejoice with appetisers which include the Hot Goat Cheese Salad ($9.90), Cretan Salad ($10.90), and Caesar Salad ($8.90). Each dish is mixed with greens and topped with different types of cheeses.

Grilled Game Hen ($21.90)

As for the main event, the restaurant also has other items to whet your appetite. These come in big portions so these are good enough for 4 to 5 people. For poultry options, go ahead and try their flavourful and tender Grilled Game Hen ($21.90) or the Chicken with Spices ($17.90).

U.S. Pork Chop ($19.90) and Rack of Lamb ($36.90)

New items to look forward to are the Rack of Lamb ($36.90), BBQ Ribs ($19.90) and U.S. Pork Chop ($19.90). The latter is a favourite for it is made crispy on the outside, yet is tender and juicy inside.

Tartare Grilled ($20.90)

Your trip to Hippopotamus won’t really be complete if you don’t try the steaks! One specialty is the Skirt Steak ($18.90), which is a cut from the plate of the mule. Though it’s not known for its tenderness, it’s still a popular choice for the meat just bursts with flavour. For true steak lovers, another dish to try is the Tartare Grilled ($20.90), which is a 180g of minced meat barely seared on each side. All mentioned dishes are best eaten with their six signature sauces. Do keep a look out for their new one too, the Thai Chilli Sauce, for it will add some spice to your food as well as dining experience.
