We wanted to go to Wo Peng but it was full house and we did not make a reservation. So we walked down the street and chanced upon this restaurant. And it was a blessing in disguise! The restaurant served a variety of stuff! For instance, there were 10 types of chicken dishes in the menu! We ordered their signature tofu, together with salted egg pork ribs and 3-egg spinach. They served fried crackers and wet tissues, which you can opt not to have if you want to reduce unnecessary cost. The spinach was average and were a little harder than what i preferred. The starch gravy was not the most flavourful one that i have eaten. Their tofu was good, a little hard on the outside and jelly-like soft in the inside! On top of it were cai po (salted garnish) and flour bits, which gave the crunchy feel as you eat the tofu together with the rice. Delicious! The best of all was the salted egg pork ribs. This is the best salted egg marinated dish i have ever eaten! The pork ribs was actually without bones and the meat was soft. The salted egg flavouring was throughout the pork meat, unlike some places where you wished you had more salted egg! However, it does seem a little too salty after eating more than 5 pieces. Nevertheless, it was my favourite dish! We ordered all Small sizes as well as a bowl of rice each and were really full in the end. Total cost amounted to $32 for 2 pax. Reasonable.Read More

This is definitely one of the best value-for-money Seafood Restaurant in Singapore. With a table full of dishes more than enough for minimum of 6-7 pax, the bill was about $90. That is about $12 per pax.Must eat:(1) Salted Egg Crab - very tasty and not too “gelat”, the crab is “deep fried” nicely that you will end up eating both the meat and the shell.(2) 菜脯豆腐 - my personal favourite, the 菜脯 is done till perfection, crispy and crunchy.(3) 纸包鸡 - most of the wrapped chicken sold outside are either soggy or too dry, however Yi Jia did it just right, tender and juicy.Read More

It is a very creative dish that the Chef has came out with.Looks appetizing The chef marinated the chicken and deep fried till golden brown,it was crispy on the outside. As you can see there are slices of strawberries too! :)For the sauce, it was mixed with mayonnaise and strawberry juice. However, I find that the dish is good on it's own or as snacks. It is not suitable to match with the Read More
