These famous egg tarts are not really to my liking. The amount of filling and thickness of crust were all alright. The crust is very flaky and crispy I think, but I feel that there will be a sour aftertaste when you bite into the crust. If not, it is not bad overall but price is steeper as compared to other egg tarts.Read More

Tong Heng is one of my favorite shops to get some decent pastries. They sell a delectable range of pastries and confectioneries.I often get their diamond-shaped Egg Tarts and Barbequed Pork Crisps. The pastry skin for the egg tart is soft and flaky and coupled with the smooth custard. The barbequed pork crisp is also another crumbly pastry filled with bbq pork meat. I like the crumbly texture with the pork. Both desserts are not too sweet and it definitely a favourite among the young and old.Read More

Tong Heng is well liked for its finely baked pastries / delicacies especially its egg tarts. As we walked near the kiosk located at the extreme end of Jurong point 1 there weren't any tarts in the display refrigerator. As a return customer, we knew there are 2 available tart flavours that tong heng offers. The shop assistants mentioned that all the tarts were sold out. Left with no other closer choice, I bought a box of 6 Char Siew (barbeque pork) crisp with their recommendation from its tag "must try". Evenly baked in golden brown with glossy outlook and few tiny bits of sesame seeds on it.As I tore the bar of BBQ pork crisp apart, I noticed that it actually consist of thin layers of crisp, in between stuffed with succulent flattened BBQ pork. These few bites of the bars were made difference by the crispiness of the pastries and its BBQ Pork Filling's sweetness. One of the most wanted traditional Chinese snack, Ask for More!Read More

The piping hot egg tart really makes my day as the crust is crispy on the outside and the custard is smooth and soft on the inside. The egg tart is also not too sweet and does not leave an after-taste after eating it. While chewing, you can smell the aroma of the custard. This a definitely a must-have snack for the afternoon tea. Hence, I would strongly recommend this dessert as it is a good tea-time snack. :)Read More

I mad love the egg tarts from tong heng, I bought a box of five home and before I could snap a picture, I gave into temptation and finish one. Their egg tart is unlike the normal round shape egg tart, it is shaped in a unique diamond shape. The pastry is also different from most egg tart, theirs is much more softer and more flakey. The custard is not too sweet too. I like the buttery taste of the pastry, it is just so delicious. I ate 3 of the 5 by the way.Read More

FoodWhat makes Tong Heng's Tart so impressive is its Flaky Cripsy Diamond Shape Crust with silky custard fillings in the centre. Custard has a smell of an egg and is not too sweet. Not forgetting that the first bite together with its flaky and wobbly custard is incredibly madness.Buy more quantity and tarts will be placed in boxServiceTake awayPrice: $1.30/egg tart, S$1.40/coconut egg tartRecommendationTong Heng Egg Tart is definitely a MUST TRY!Read More

I bought a box of char siew pastries. They will only give a box if you buy 5 pieces. The char siew pastry from Tong Heng is really good. Their char siew only uses lean meat, not fatty meats at all. The sauce they cooked the char siew is not too sweet nor too salty, the taste is just right. The pastry is very fragrant, buttery as well. the pastry is very crisp, crumbles at every bite. It is very satisfying, a good buy.Read More

The best in Singapore (in my opinion) is from Tong Heng. When the egg tart is just out of the oven, the flaky pastry is crispy and the custard hot and soft. This is when I like to eat it as soon as it gets out of the oven. When you leave it too long, like all crispy pastries in humid weather, they all turn squishy after absorbing moisture from the air.Read More

i wanted to buy four of their pastries but the auntie pointed to the sign and said that they will only give you a box if you buy five so I complied and bought five. I bought 2 egg tarts and 3 char siew pastry. I think the char siew pastry is really good. the pastry outside is very soft and flakey, the char siew inside is pretty sweet. it does not have any fatty meat inside. It was a really nice tea time snack.Read More

It is hard to miss this stall selling chinese pastries once you exit from NTUC at b1 of Jurong Point. They are quite famous for the egg tarts and its shape is also very characteristic since it is diamond shaped and not the conventional round or oval shape. The egg tarts sell for $1.40 which is rather expensive, but worth trying. The egg custard is sweet, in fact a litle too sweet for my liking, and smooth and the pastry is rather crisp and thin, allowing me to enjoy more of the egg custard. A must try for those who have a sweet tooth and lover of egg tarts! Read More

Over the years, I’ve been patrolling them even their Chinese desserts, the diamond-shaped egg tart is the most awesome! Because it sells quickly, they are always baking new batches and so the tart is usually hot. And as expected, I was not let down. I really liked this egg tart. It is soft and tender, melt once you put in your mouth. There are some other pastries too. try it out. Read More
