Bought the spicy pork ramen set from this Ajisen outlet today.  For merely $12.90 per set, I get to enjoy a bowl of ramen, and one side dish and a cup of cold ice tea.  Ramen was very chewy and not soggy, and the soup base is very thick, spicy and flavourful.  love the pork meat inside which is soft and tender as well.  As for the fried chicken wing, is juicy for the meat but abit dry and oily on the outer layer.  Green tea is cooling and refreshing.  The restaurant is cosy and comfortable, service is fast and friendly too.…Read More

Famous of Japanese Ramen, my roommate was its top fan. I know their signature dish was fair Tonkotsu soup, using the unique culinary method to ensure all flavours were sealed into the broth. It was healthy and affordable restaurant in Singapore.Browsing their menu, I decide to have this. Order a spicy char siew ramen set for lunch together with scallops sushi and ice lemon tea. Ramen was tasty as the noodles was soft and smooth. Soup base was good and mixed well together with the chilli. Char siew is tasty as is soft and tender. Ajisen Ramen has always been my favorite. Despite of the ramen that are famous and need to queue for a long time, I would prefer this Ajisen Ramen instead. with all the different kinds of ramen served here, I would recommend Volcano Ramen for those who favor for spicy ramen. myself I will always choose Pork Curry Ramen which the curry is not that bland that makes me can eat the whole bowl. Another one that I would recommend is Pork Shabu Tom Yam Ramen if you like tom yam flavor. I don't prefer the bento set here because ramens are nicer than the rice here. Unfortunately they don't have the omurice sets here which has always been my favorite besides the ramen. It is really worth to get the ramen set which start from $13.90. Happy Vesak holiday! I went to Ajisen for lunch today to catch up with my friend. We are at feasta located in JP2. There are a few stalls that catered to different kind of food from different countries. Intially, my friend and i decided to go to the korea stall beside Ajisen, but we enter the wrong stall unknowingly until the menu was served to us! :( So no choice, we did decided to stay! Browsing through the menu and we selected some food! One of it is the ala carte fried tofu! The tofu was tasteless but was sauce it was quite awesome! :) Other than that, the small pieces of seaweed helps to improve on the overall appearance. OMG, the portion was damn huge. (LOOK AT THE PIC) at the price $8.90 this is really worth! The taste of their hot plate chicken was wonderful. The only thing that i didn't try was the vegetable. It was not appealing to me. The service was great. It was indicated on the menu that the serving time was 15 to 20 minutes, however, i was been served with 10minutes and the awesome thing was the resturant was full of customers and they managed to serve this dish so fast! I ordered the Gyoza Set Meal from Ajisen's anniversary special section. the meal comprises of 10 pieces of gyozas, white japanese rice, miso soup and two pieces of fried chicken. the gyoza is pretty small in size however it was very juicy. it goes well with the vinegar dip they provided. i like the skin of the gyoza, it was very chewy yet does not stick to the teeth. the fried chicken taste very juicy too, not oily at all.…Read More

Ajisen Ramen is still selling it's Anniversary special, which is the cheapest bowl of ramen on their menu and in my opinion the greatest bang per buck: their Aso Ramen. A bowl costs about $8 after adding GST and service charge. Aso ramen contains a few slices of char siu, served together with hard boiled egg, copious amounts of bean sprouts, seaweed and chives. They are served together in a bowl of ajisen's signature chewy and springy ramen noodles and hearty pork broth soup. I like that a bowl of ajisen ramen is decent quality ramen, with fresh ingredients and a soup base that is not excessively oily or salty. The service staff here is also rather prompt and friendly. My friend and I decided to have Ajisen Ramen for dinner since she has the membership to this restaurant that will entitle us to a 10% discount off our total bill. As we arrived at the restaurant slightly before dinnertime, the restaurant was not so crowded and we were directed to our seats promptly. My friend got an ajisen flyer from a promoter so we decided to head there for our dinner. The promotion stated on the flyer was a free side dish with the selected main course orders. There were only three choices of the side dishes, dumpling, cuttlefish or sushi. I chose the teriyaki chicken set with cuttlefish. Their teriyaki chicken ramen was the only dry ramen they have in the store. It was really good for a dry ramen. This is a memorable dining moment for me because I went with my BFF! We had almost the same favourite food and often craving for the same food at the same time.
