Do indulge in their mouth watering experience from their Taiwan Shaved Ices. This could satisfy the cravings of any desserts lover. The chendol ice served in the snowy white form without additional sugar syrup on it with the standards ingredients, red beans, grass jelly, green jelly and "attap" seed as its base.It's good to handle the syrup ourselves as we can adjust the level of sweetness and kind of design our own pile of shaved ice. Best friend and I stumbled into this place as we were full from dinner but wanted something sweet that not off a can. We were surprised by the crowd that's inside the shop and honestly from the outside, you can't tell that it's jam packed inside!We peeped at other tables and many ordered their Shaved Ice in the various flavours and we followed. We got an Almond Shaved Ice and we also wanted a traditional hot almond milk cream. We were fascinated with the PILE of Shaved Ice and what I appreciated is that the ice itself had the almond flavour. So it's not a stack of ice with the syrup poured over. The ice was shaved in a wonderful fashion that looked very artistic really.The warm almond milk was tasty and creamy. i eat this at Chinatown Point branch. My relative recommended me to their yam paste dessert, decide to go try, when i try it, a great disappointment i have, yam paste is not strong, gingko nuts not cooked well, with added pumpkin not cooked properly at all, for this price, i can eat better one elsewhere, yam paste is totally too fine and not totally yam at all, not worth to eat, sometimes it is not too good to branch out when consistency is not there. i will not go back eat again. …ดูเพิ่มเติม

Pass by this dessert shop and was really attracted by the various choices of desserts available here and decided to give it a try. Have bought the Lychee with ice shavings which is topped with generous amount of condensed milk which make it very fragrant and appetizing. The snow ice really melt in your mouth when you eat it and the lychee flavour is very natural and not too sweet. Restaurant is abit squeezy and service was alright as well. It is a well-known and famous dessert shop located at central heart of Chinatown. It's only within 5 minutes walking distance from Chinatown mrt station. They offer quite range of hot and cold dessert as well as some local snack. Their price are also affordable. The dessert place here was really crowded especially on a friday night. It was quite hard to get seats but the desserts were really worth it! Mango shaved ice was pretty popular here. My mom and I were walking around Chinatown and needed a break from all the walking! Settled down at Mei Heong Yuen Dessert stall which is located along the row of shop houses. I heard that the shaved ice here is good and being durian lovers, we ordered their Durian Shaved Ice! I am pretty amazed and curious on how they incorporate the durian flavour into the shaved ice. This is my favourite dessert place in Singapore :)The mango pomelo, green tea snow shavings, and yam cake are a must try. The chilli is the best part of the meal.As the desserts and snacks are very popular, especially during peak hour, the shop is almost always packed, and you might find yourself pressured to leave soon after finishing the dessert. Mei Heong Yuen Dessert 味香园甜品 a well-known traditional dessert stall, also owns the Farmer Brand groundnuts 农夫牌花生. The stall expanded last year and open a branch at ION Orchard.Although Mei Heong Yuen Dessert occupies three units of the ground-floor shop house in Chinatown, the place was full on a Saturday night. Luckily, the staff were efficient and the turnover was fast. We found a table fairly quickly.Look at the menu, Mei Heong Yuen Dessert offers a wide variety of desserts.I decided to try the Peanut Paste after all they own the Farmer Brand groundnuts. Where else would be a better place to try peanut paste.The Peanut Paste $3 was amazingly fragrant and smooth. There were no peanut bits present. In terms of thickness it was just nice and not overly diluted. Initially I feared that it would be too thick. The perfection of this peanut paste allowed me to polish off the whole bowl without feeling jelak and had me longing for more. What a satisfying bowl of Peanut Paste.On another occasion, I tried the Walnut Paste. It was priced at $3 too. Mei Heong Yuen's Walnut Paste did not disappoint. It had a smooth consistency and thickness. Full of walnut fragrant and flavour, I have to admit that this is one of the best Walnut Paste I have tried. It would be worthwhile to note that not many dessert stalls sells Walnut Paste.On the third occasion, I had the Sesame Paste which was priced at $3. It was a hat trick (3 times) of paste. Looking for a place to chill and enjoy a bowl of dessert? This stall serves one of the best mango pomelo dessert around Singapore and the stall is fully air-conditioned for full comfort. Even though the environment is air- conditioned, it’s dessert is still a bit cheaper than other stalls, selling at $4 per bowl. The serving of one bowl is just nice for one person. The shaved ice was a decent relief from Singapore's hot and humid weather. The black sesame was just right and not overly sweet, and the almond paired nicely with the black sesame.Along with the dish was a black jelly on the side, which I hypothesize is grass jelly? But it's tougher than the grass jelly that you order in a drink. The price of this dish was $4 if I recall correctly, and it can be shared comfortable amongst 4-5 pax if you're not very hungry. Went to Mei Heong Yuen dessert for my tea time. The place is usually much crowded during the afternoon time. The restaurant is almost full each and every day as the food here is good. I went with the gingko barley. It was smooth and the best part is that it just melted on my mouth. It is a perfect Hong Kong style dessert. Its mango flavoured shaved ice topped with mango sauce and cubed mango. It is definitely a must try for mango lovers. The serving is rather big. Always see long queue at this shop and just nice is not so busy we decided to look for a seat. And as usual we are given menu first and to make order and payment we have to walk up to the counter to settle everything. I order a gingko barley, Goh go for their durian shaved ice and my girl order a steam milk pudding. And we also share chee cheong fun as well. Gingko barley very smooth and it just like melted in your mouth!!! Durian shave ice very yummy and is a big plate and is good that we eat on a hot day! Baby's steam milk pudding ... the milk smell is very strong so if you don't like milk this is a no no ... but is very soft and seems very wobbly! Situated conveniently near the Chinatown MRT station, this dessert place befittingly is selling Chinese desserts and one of the nicest Shaved Ice I have tried so far. The place used to be a double-lot but now expands up to three shop lots. This reflects how popular this dessert place is. There is also a branch in ION basement.Ordered their shaved ice to beat the heat outside and to quench my thirst. Had the Chendol and Matcha Shaved Ice ($5). The Mango Shaved Ice is also one of their signature but I am not really a mango fan so decided to give that a miss. The Chendol one was really rich in coconut taste and it came along with a bottle of brown syrup which one could add on accordingly. It was really good with the combination of red bean and atapchi too. For those who prefer something not too sweet, Matcha would be a great choice. It was not too bland, especially with the red bean topping along. But honestly, I felt slightly disappointed, as I remember that the Matcha taste used to be stronger when I had it first last year. Sometimes, it is really saddening that the food quality drops when the quantity of customers grows. As for the Mango roll, I would not recommend it unless you feel like eating just plain mango. The skin wrapping around the mango chunk was thick and tasteless. I ended up separating the skin away and just popped in the mango solely. I would recommend the place for their shaved ice and chinese steamed cakes such as the pumpkin cake. The Chinese pastes used to be rich and smooth but now it becomes too diluted.
