Just yesterday, I bought two of the dim sum items from Ho Kee Pau. Although it has been around for quite some time, this is my first time buying from them. There are a lot of different dim sum items from steamed to fried items. I bought the steamed char siew bao and a fried beancurd roll. The char siew bao is quite small and the filling is also very little. Although I really enjoyed the sweet and savoury char siew meat, the small portion is quite a disappointment. The fried beancurd roll is also tasty because it is not too oily and the beancurd skin is still crispy. The fillings inside the beancurd roll is minced meat and some bits of prawn. The cost for the char siew bao is 90cents and cost for the beancurd roll is $1.I have forgotten to take a store photo, but you can't miss this stall as it is the only pau stall in the food centre.Read More

The jiu chai dumplings here are big and yummy! Generous fillings which includes chopped jiu chai, minced pork meat and seasonings have make their jiu chai dumpling taste really good! At only one dollar each, is definitely a good deal. You can eat it on it's own or eat with noodles and rice. And since these jiu chai dumplings are steamed, this also make it more healthy too. My verdict: 6.5/10Read More

Ho Kee's mince pork bun are one of my favorite breakfast whenever I'm on the rush in the morning.Somehow, there pork buns differentiate itself from the usual steam bun in kopitiams.Firstly, the ratio of lean and fat mince pork are rather consistent. Secondly, the buns are all made freshly everyday and you could really taste the tenderness and crunch of the fresh pork.Seasoning are done to a right degree, not too overwhelming.Bun are not too thick either, just right for me.Read More
