Near Kallang MRT, this small prawn mee shop is conveniently within walkable distance from the public transport. In my view, i think this is one of the best prawn mee one can find in Singapore.Different version of prawn mee for you to choose, so does the price Pork Ribs Prawn noodle (soup) - What make a delicious prawn mee different from the rest of the shops? Its the broth. The soup is strong and tasty, shop owner use prawn shells and pork ribs to cook the broth, making it very tasty. The prawns are fresh and sweet. Really shiok.Pork Ribs Prawn noodle (Dry version) - Even in the dry version, you can still taste the prawn sweetness in the noodle as it was cooked using the broth, making the noodle nice and delicious. A bowl of soup is provided too. Operating hours: Wed - Mon: 08:00 - 15:30Closed: TueRead More

The shop occupies a corner shophouse along Jalan Ayer and is walking distance from Kallang MRT. Besides selling prawn mee and drinks, Ngoh Hiang is sold as a side order as well.We ordered the dry and soup version. The $5 prawn mee came with small-sized prawns; and were sliced into half to facilitate eating. The prawns were fresh and sweet, yellow noodle and bee hoon was cooked to a good texture, not too soggy or under-cooked, the bee hoon was thicker than the ordinary thin bee hoon which is a better choice in our opinion, as we find that thicker bee hoon will soak up less of the broth. We enjoyed the appetizing noodles immersed in mouthwatering soup, that was brimming with the sweetness of prawns and pork ribs. The prawns, although medium sized, are nevertheless fresh and tasty.By the way, they allowed soup to be refilled. Please refer to www.ieatandeat.com for details review.Read More

There was this famous traditional Prawn Mee stall nearby Kallang MRT. I hardly had the chance to try their Prawn Mee because they open before lunch and closes after that.Today I had the chance to go there during lunch time and it was crowded with office workers.I had ordered the $5 Prawn Mee Soup. When the order arrived, I was surprised there was so many prawns and meat. The soup of the Prawn Mee tasted meat sweet and full pork ribs flavour. The prawns were fresh and sweet tasting. The sliced pork was also tasted meat sweet. The bee hoon was not the normal kind, it was slightly thicker and taste good in the Prawn Mee soup. Overall, I think this was the best Prawn Mee in Singapore with flavourful soup and generous with prawns.Read More

And I'm back right into the heat. Just for a plate of sinful fried fritters. I took one of whatever was left.It was about 1.30pm and they were almost out of it again.finally! century egg, ngoh hiang, fishcake, squid and a huge prawn fritter! It's really just flour but there's something about eating it dipped in sweet sauce that makes it an amazing starter, side and for me today, a main meal. The century egg was accompanied by slices of preserved ginger and must be eaten together for maximum oomph! I used to be turned off by the scary red dye on the squid but these days, I love it regardless. Read More

The FoodI ordered a bowl of prawn mee soup and I was quite impressed when i take my 1st mouthful of the soup. The prawn broth was brimming with natural sweetness of prawns and pork ribs hence can tell that the broth must have been cooked for very long to achieve this standard. The yellow noodles are very appetizing and springy when immersed in the rich and tasty soup. The medium sized prawns are very fresh and tasty. The pork ribs have a nice porky taste and the meat is very tender. The PriceReasonably priced at $5 for decent portionOverallJalan Sultan Prawn Mee is indeed one of the best prawn noodles I have eaten in Singapore.Read More
