Beyond the warm and welcoming service, the food here is absolutely delicious. The frog is a must-try! We also loved the egg omelette and sotong yutiao — both were full of flavor and really hit the spot. With late closing hours, it’s a fantastic spot for supper, and the prices are very affordable too. Highly recommended!Read More

Had the kung pao frog legs with plain porridge and dragon chives on the side — such a solid combo! The frog legs were tender, and the sauce was rich, flavourful, and perfect with the porridge. Drinks like the barley and iced lemon tea rounded everything off nicely. Overall, no complaints at all — a great spot for a satisfying supper. Will definitely be back again!Read More

Tried G7 Frog Porridge and Live Seafood and really enjoyed it. The porridge was flavorful and comforting, and the stir-fried string beans were cooked perfectly. Service was noticeably faster compared to Eminent Frog Porridge, which makes a big difference when you’re hungry! If the craving hits again, I’d definitely come back here.Read More

Visited G7 Frog Porridge in Geylang and really enjoyed the experience. The porridge was smooth and comforting, especially when paired with the rich sauce. The restaurant is spacious and lively, open late into the night, perfect for supper. Service is friendly, though it can get crowded during peak hours, so waiting time may be a bit long. Prices are reasonable, overall, a great spot for hearty, late-night comfort food.Read More

See my full reviews & photos at = http://chefquak.com/2016/03/12/excellent-frog-leg-porridge-g7-sin-ma-on-11mar2016/a friend, my primary school classmate, bought me an excellent frog leg porridge lunch at G7 sin ma on 11.3.2016. ^^i have not taken frog leg porridge for the longest time.this was really excellent! ^^liked the lunch a lot.1 bull frog goes for S$8. buy 2 get 1 free so S$16 gets you 3 frogs.1 portion porridge is S$3. & 2 of us took only 1/2 of that 1 portion. :-)if you order 3 frogs, you get 2 free, so 5 frogs for S$22 & porridge is free as well. so for S$3 more we get 2 frogs more.my friend wanted me to try the ikan tenggiri (mackerel) with thai sauce. so we kept it at 3 frogs + 1 portion porridge at S$19.this was actually the same sin ma at lor 3 geylang which my other friends were telling me.this a lot leh for 1 portion. 2 of us shared & we took about 1/2 of it.the gong bao frog leg 宫宝田鸡was really excellent! ^^the bull frog were meaty, fresh, tender, tasty. very good la! the sauce was excellent not too sweet & really wonderful together with the porridge.ikan tenggiri (mackerel) was good. :-) fish was fresh & sweet if ordinary, the garlic & thai sauce gave it an extra kick.my friend ordered too much but he is actually a small eater. so i ate most of it. :-)& this fried kai lan蒜蓉芥兰 was very good. plain, simple, tasty, not oily.i will definitely go back again. don’t really need the fish but can do with the S$22 for 5 frogs porridge + the very nice kai lan.after lunch, we went over to carpentor & cook for a cuppa. a very enjoyable, relaxing lunch & coffee chat for me.Read More

Back for more frog leg porridge to satisfy my cravings! This time round, I tried their side dishes:marmite chicken $10This tasted like korean chicken. The chicken was well-marinated and flavourful. It was also tender but slightly salty. Goes well with porridge :)beancurd tofu $6tofu skin was really thin and tofu was soft. The shrimp toppings went well with the plain porridge and the sauce was not salty.Read More

Kung Pow Frog Leg We were recommended to have 7 frog legs (free 5 frog legs) for 6 pax. It was mildly spicy because of the chilli padi. The frog leg meat was really tender but it could be less salty. Plain porridge at $3. Lightly seasoned and already has flavour on its own. It was drier than the usual porridge but was just nice when we drizzled the frog leg's gravy over it. There is outdoor seating as well as indoor seating with aircon located upstairs. Service was quite efficient and our food was served within 10 minutes after ordering. Read More

If you love porridge, you should try their claypot porridge, smooth and flavored with the rich fragrance of ginger but mild ginger taste even suitable for people who dislike ginger :)Do try their frogs in claypot, tender meat with 2 choice of cooking them, gong bao (with dry chilli) or cooked with spring onion.Recommended serving for 2: 4 frogs with a pot of porridge.Read More

I've always heard the superb frog porridge somewhere in Geylang, but never managed to drop by. but this time with large families coming together for a holiday, we had 2 big tables to fill at 10PM!Of course, we ordered the frogs - spicy and non-spicy for the little kids, porridge, and other dishes of vegetables, tofu, and steamed fish.It took quite a while with lots of people still laughing and eating their hearts out around - what a way to spend such diet late at night! But anyhow, when it came, I didn't know that the porridge was in a pot and dishes on the other - I've always thought it's a portion that comes together. It was served in a claypot similar to Mr.Curry's bowl. And so, the foodorridge was indeed, different than many. It's more watery, as the rice is much more 'crushed' and although there isn't much difference, it does have a different taste to it.Frog was AWESOME. ACTUALLY, THE sauce is. the meat can be anything, but in this case the frogs legs were soft and thick in its meat. The sauce was cooked with chopped chilli so it's spicy but it was just awesome. Pour over the sauce over the porridge and it'll be delicious.Vegetables are a pass, the fish was fresh so the meat was pure white but not recommended as it was over $100! It doesn't just apply here, from my experience, fresh steamed fish are commonly charged at a very high price. Never ever order this at most restaurants!Rest of the dish was good enough like any Chinese restaurants, and the chopped grilled pork is addictive with its crispy skin compared to roasted chicken chops.I ate too much for supper but whoa, i couldn't stop, the dishes were really pulling my appetite away! Even when the porridge was long gone, we ordered more frogs (and in the end another pot of porridge). The chilli sauce mantau was also interesting, everyone should try!Read More
