Was really delighted that my uncle has bought the 1A curry puffs to my house when he visited us. The curry puffs were in really fresh and hot condition when we ate it. The puffs pastries are very crunchy and not too oily, with the strong butter flavour in it as well. The potato curry filling is quite spicy and is abit moist in texture too. Quarter boiled egg is also found in it, which added that extra fragrant to this yummy snack. Great to have it with either cold or hot beverages. At only $1.30 per piece, this is indeed yummy and cheap!Read More

1a curry puffs have many outlets throughout Singapore! Their curry puffs are seriously good having all the right components. The pastry is flaky and crisp being fried to perfection such that it is crunchy without being overly oily. I really like the unique appearance too! Really a nice change from the usual pastries. The filling itself is chunky with nice bits of potato that are not too spicy. Overall a satisfying snackRead More

If you compare the deep fried puffs here with the one from Old Chang Kee and other pastry shops, the version here is slightly thinner in texture and the outlook looks nice as there are many layers' design on it. The curry fillings inside is more towards the slightly wet version and the curry is also abit spicy too. Lots of cubes potatoes and chicken diced meat are in the fillings, which are really juicy and tender and the potatoes are soft and smooth too. Although it may look slightly smaller in size, but it tastes equally satisfying like the other curry puffs. I also like their yam puffs, sweet corn puffs & sardine puffs too. Read More

I was walking arounnd in Tampines yesterday when I had a craving for curry puffs. I passed by this famous curry puff shop and decided to get one. They had a wide variety of curry puffs with interesting flavours like D24 durian and chilli crab! I decided to get a chilli crab one to try. It was awesome! The puff was crispy and delicious. You can really taste the chilli crab within the crisp shell of the curry puff!Read More

This is another joint besides old chang kee that I liked. Their curry puffs are very different from the traditional trade. Their is more crispy and has more layers of pastry. The fillings inside the puff is more moist and juicy. The range that they sell is also very unusual as they have durian version. For me, I love their normal curry puff, the chicken and potato puff as well as their sardine puff. All of them are very tasty and I believe you will love it once you give it a try.Read More
