A new stall is spotted and had just taken over the Tiong Bahru Lor Mee Stall weeks ago when I was there. Although 503 is specialized in Curry Chicken, the Lor Mee business still goes on. Lor Mee Lovers can enjoy Lor Mee as well as curry chicken from the same stall now.A bowl of chicken curry noodle costs $3 while chicken curry alone would cost $3.50. If you would like additional plain bowl of rice, it will cost additional of $0.50 per bowl or $1 for bread. The chicken curry was tasty, not too dilute with a moderate amount of spiciness. It was not too oily and comes with good portions of chicken meat and "gang dang" (potatoes) but if you were to compared the noodles curry chicken with the bowl without noodles, the latter would be more value for money as there were more meat.As I observed the tables in the hawker centre, it seemed that there were quite a number of Lor Mee bought from them. Just too bad that I havent got the chance to try out their Lontong dish and it was already stroke out on the menu. The lady mentioned that they could not cope with too many dishes although one of its patron mentioned that Lontong was good. Hopefully in near future, they would bring this back into the menu. continue reading
