Aashiq Restaurant is one of the hot spot among the cluster of HDB buildings be it early in the morning or in the night time. Housed under Blk 326 and somewhere in the border of Jurong East and West with a constant stream of vehicles passing by them, I would say the location is rather strategic.

Teh Tarik was served while we continued to wait for the rest of our orders - the Pratas. Tea taste was dominant with bubbles floating at its surface and best of all was that they were not sweet.

Due to its crowd, we waited quite a while for the pratas to be served. They were freshly made by order basis and was rather crispy without having signs of being any doughy. Best still, there were hardly any oily traces left on the plate when we finished the prata which was remarkable.

Curry was fragrant enough and not too dilute. Overall standards best explains their business crowds and I dont mind having them for meals whenever I passes them.

Aashiq Tosai's is a thin layer pancake alike food made from rice and batter. Soft and springy with a good chewy feeling at every bites. It comes with 3 different sauce with curry, similar to what I had eaten for prata.

Egg onion prata filled with generous portion of onion bits wrapped with the cripsy layer of egg dough. The curry given was rather thick and one comes with brinja while the other with a soften potatoes.

Tea was served warm with shortly after ordering, hot and tastes mild sweet, good to go with the prata.

It was quite a happy experience to have food that warms up the morning. Those who are driving can park their vehicle in front of the shop and need not have to worry about the "carpark auntie" (summon auntie).

Cost: S$5.00
