This stingray is the best I had every tried by far. The skin is a bit charred on the sides but the flesh beneath was still silky smooth and moist. The sauce was not too spicy which suits my palette. There were hints of sweet and sour. It's just all so well balanced. Simply perfect!I paid $9 for a medium size stingray. For the quality, I feel it's very worth the money! But I suppose if you like it spicy, then you may find the spice in there lacking.Worth a try!

Cheap and good bbq seafood comes true at Adam Road Food Centre. Located in a circular hawker centre, a small stall which serves almost anything on the menu with sambal paste chili. Unlike most bbq seafood elsewhere, having a $8 serving as the least, here the cheapest on their menu is a minimal of mere $6. To add justice, I'd assure a $6 serving also wouldn't turn out a tiny miserable piece but decent enough for its price (or at least that applied to us that evening). We weren't very hungry that e

We weren't very hungry that evening though, so we had only ordered 3 items: Sambal Sotong, Sambal Kang Kong and of course, the BBQ Stingray! I'd rank the bbq stingray to be the lead among those 3, a term to describe it would be 'irresistible'. It was properly marinated and came out to be perfectly bbq-ed with heavy sambal chili coating and side chopped garlic sauce. The stingray meat was thick, soft, tender and juicy. It was also pearl white in color which I believe that meant it was fresh. Ranking second would be the sambal sotong, it was ordinary but succulent and chewy enough. It blended well with the sambal chili paste too.. side note, was it just me or was it the same sambal chili used on all stingray, sotong and kang kong? Lastly about the sambal kang kong, not that it was terrible, but the vegetables were slightly overcooked, losing its natural greenness, and that made me a little disappointed.

Overall, it was a good spicy dinner. However I like my food to be very very spicy, I'd of course like it if they could up the level of spiciness for extra kick, but then again this wouldn't be fair to everyone.
