Ordered the smallest portion of sambal stingray for $10 and rice was at 50cents per bowl. There were 2 small pieces of sambal stingray and the sambal sauce was quite little. It would be more ideal if it was slightly bigger with more sambal on it. It was also not spicy enough. The stingray was very tender and soft though and the sourness of the lime made it yummier and added extra flavour to it. I managed to satisfy my cravings! continue reading

This seafood stall is quite large, occupying two stall areas. There are quite a lot of people ordering from them and since we had a group of 6, we decided to try their food. We ordered two plates of chicken drumsticks and one plate of stingray to share among the 6 of us. The order took around 20 minutes to arrive. The chicken drumsticks are quite tiny but it is full of flavour. The chicken skin is really crisp and the meat are juicy and tender. I really liked the seasoning of the chicken drumsticks, it isn't just all salty flavour, but there is also some sweetness in it. The stingray also good. It is fried so the exterior is slightly crisp and the interior of the flesh is moist and tender. The fish is fresh and this makes eating the fish together with the sambal chilli especially tasty. The chili is very spicy so those who have lower spice tolerance, remember not to smear too much if not your tongue will be burnt. Total is around $38 if I remember correctly, we had ordered other food from other stalls and add everything to derive at how much each should pay, so I did not really take note how much each individual plate cost. continue reading
